Answer:

In redox reactions, energy is released when an electron loses potential energy as a result of the transfer. Electrons have more potential energy when they are associated with less electronegative atoms (such as C or H), and less potential energy when they are associated with a more electronegative atom (such as O).

Which of the following best explains why deforestation increases the risk of floods in an area?a. Tree leaves catch and retain r
Illusion [34]

Answer: D) Tree roots improve soil water retention

There are many reasons which states that deforestation increases the risk of flood. First , some water stay on the leaves and evaporates in to the atmosphere. Second, tree leaves reduce the impact of raindrops on the soil which causes less soil erosion.

Third, tree roots absorb water from the soil, which make the soil dry and it absorb more water rainwater. The roots of tree hold the soil in place and reduce the movement of sediment which reduce the capacity of river to break its banking. Thus, reducing the chances of flood.

I need to know what physical weathering and chemical weathering is for a science project!
Oksana_A [137]
Ok ok no fret im here to help as best as i can :)
Weathering is a process that breaks down or changes rocks into smaller pieces. Various atmospheric aspects are responsible for weathering processes. Weathering is different from erosion. Erosion is the movement of rock pieces and sediment from one area to another. Weathering is the breaking down of rocks and erosion is a wearing away of rocks. There are two main types of weathering: physical (or mechanical) weathering and chemical weathering. Quite often, both forms of weathering will occur together

Physical weathering is also known as mechanical weathering. This type of weathering occurs when rocks and other landforms are broken down by physical factors in the environment. These physical factors include wind, water, sun, ice and temperature changes

soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

In all flies,on the same Locus, on chromosome 2 at the same place you find the gene for antenna length.

Explanation:

In all fruit flies ,on the same Locus, on chromosome 2 at the same place you find the gene for antenna length

All fruit flies contain same amount of gene and chromosomes, so the location of all gene in all fruit flies found at the same location.

A gene for antenna length in all fruit flies on chromosome 2 is present on same the location.
