Answer:

1. x+y=16 (the y’s cancel because they are inverse operation)

  x-y=10 (x+x=2x and 16+10=26 now the equation is 2x=26 now just solve for x by dividing 2 on both sides 26/2=13)

YOUR NOT DONE YET: (Now that we've found x let's plug it back in to solve for y.Write down an original equation I’m using x+y=16 And Substitute 13 for x)

the equation is 13+y=16 now subtract 13 on both sides and you should get y=3

2. for number 2 it’s the same as number 1

3. in this one the x will cancel each other because they are inverse)

(for the rest please use the website: Mathpapa it’s very helpful I would do more but I’m running out of time hopefully you can use this as a example to do the rest I’m really sorry I couldn’t do the rest)

Alecsey [184]

Answer: 22

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question the, we are informed that members of a lacrosse team raised $1352.50 to go to a tournament and that they rented a bus for $802.50 and budgeted $25 per player for meals.

The equation which can be used to determine p, the number of players the team can bring to the tournament would be calculated as:

802.50 + 25p = 1352.50

25p = 1352.50 - 802.50

25p = 550

p = 550/25

p = 22

They can bring 22 players to the tournament

Answer:

16

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number be x , then

\frac{3}{4} x = 15 ( multiply both sides by 4 to clear the fraction )

3x = 60 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 20 , then

\frac{4}{5} × 20 = 4 × 4 = 16

bad at math, ill give points. At the city museum, child admission is $5.50 and adult admission is $9.90 . On Saturday, 158 ticke
Fynjy0 [20]
A + c = 158......a = 158 - c
9.90a + 5.50c = 1265

9.90(158 - c) + 5.50c = 1265
1564.20 - 9.90c + 5.50c = 1265
- 4.40c = 1265 - 1564.20
-4.40c = - 299.20
c = -299.20/-4.40
c = 68 <=== 68 child tickets sold
