If 30% were perfect, 70% were not perfect.  So we know that 70% of the total number of photographs is 210.

p(70/100)=210  multiply both sides by 100

70p=21000  divide both sides by 70

p=300

So there are 300 photographs in all.

svp [43]

Answer:

40%

Step-by-step explanation:

Tanya has a a choice of 5 different routes (1-20 mins, 2-30 mins, 2-40 mins).

How many routes can she take that will take her 30-mins to get home?

The answer is 2.

What's the probability she will take 2 of the 5 routes to get home?

The probability is 2/5 so 40%.

The rounding instruction was there to mislead you in this case :-)

Figure A and Figure B are similar with a ratio of similarity of 1/8, and the area of figure A is 13 units, what is the area of f
nikdorinn [45]

Answer:

0.2

Step-by-step explanation:

Similar triangles are triangles which have the same shape but not the same size. This means their angle measures are equal but their side lengths are not instead they are proportional. This means that if a rectangle has sides 3 by 4 its area will be 12. But its image after being dilated by 2 is 6 by 8 or twice the side. Will the area also be twice the size? The area of the image is 6*8 = 48. This is 4 times bigger than 12. Not twice as big. So the similarity of the area is the scale factor squared.

So if figure A has area 13 units. And they have a ratio or scale factor of 1/8 then the area sclae factor will be 1/8*1/8 = 1/64.

So 13*1/64 will be the area of figure B.

13* 1/64 = 13/64 = 0.2

The sum of 4 consecutive even numbers is 36. What is the first number in this sequence?
sashaice [31]

Answer:

the first number in this sequence is 6....

Step-by-step explanation:

First number = x

2nd number = x+2

3rd consecutive even number = x+4

4th consecutive even number = x+6

Therefore,

By adding these numbers:

x+x+2+x+4+x+6= 36

Add the like terms:

4x+12=36

Combine the constants:

4x=36-12

4x=24

Divide both the terms by 4

4x/4 = 24/4

x= 6

Thus the first number in this sequence is 6....
