A line graph can show information about two or more data sets and is useful to compare them. In this example, you can compare the change in the heart rate of the two boys. You will find the graph in the attached files.

As the statement says, the line graphs can be used to compare results.

It is basically a chart showing a line connecting many data points.

It must contain two axes

→ Y ax ⇒ Dependent variable ⇒ In this example, it is the heart rate values

→ X ax ⇒ Independent variable ⇒ In this example, it is the number of times the measurements were taken.

So in this example, data about the change in heart rate was taken from two boys, John and Thabo.

Note about the data table: Since I do not know which value belongs to each boy, I drow a new table. You should use the data of your table to make a new graph.

When making the graph, you will see the difference between the boys and how the heart rate fluctuated as measurements were taken.

You can make conclusions about your results that are easier to see in the graph.

For instance, according to the attached graph, we could say that,

 • Thabo showed a more varying heart rate, with an extreme point at 1500 beats per minute.

 • Jhon showed a more constant heart rate that fluctuated between 70 and 120, with an extreme point of 400 beats/min.

Boyle's law only works when a gas is kept at a constant temperature. Experimentally this is very tricky as changes in pressure o
Lady bird [3.3K]

The heat that creates this temperature change coming from change in the internal energy of the system as per as first law of thermodynamics.

What is Boyle's law ?

A law stating that the pressure of a given mass of an ideal gas is inversely proportional to its volume at a constant temperature.

As we know, Boyle's law only works when the gas is kept at a constant temperature

Here,

When volume of gases decreased, it means work done has occurred on the system, so the work done is used for raising internal energy of the gas and the other is released as the thermal energy.

So,

According to 1st law of thermodynamics,

we know Q = ΔU + W i.e, change in internal energy and work done. So this is a reason. Changing temperature occurs.

Design an experiment to collect data that supports the claim that a 1.0M NaCl solution is a homogenous mixture.
Alika [10]
The claim is that NaCl mixture is a homogeneous mixture.
Homogeneous mixture means that the components of the mixtures cannot be determined or separated by the naked eye. However, these components can be separated using physical means, such as boiling, evaporation and condensation which will be used in this experiment.

First, we need to prepare one molar solution of NaCl. To do so, we will dilute a mass of 58.44 grams (molar mass of NaCl) in 1 liter of water.
By this, we will have NaCl solution.

We can notice that once the NaCl is diluted in water, all what you can see is a clear solution. You cannot see the separate particles of NaCl in water.
..............> observation I

Now, we will heat this solution until it boils and water starts evaporating. We will place a cold surface above the steam coming out from the boiling solution.

What we will observe is that when all the water evaporates, we can see white precipitate of NaCl in the bottom of the container. Examining the cold surface placed above the steam, we can see that the water has condensed on this surface.
.........>observation II

Based on this, we managed to use boiling, evaporation and condensation (physical methods) to restore the components of the solution separately.
.............>conclusion

Based on observation I, observation II and the conclusion. we were able to prove that NaCl solution is a homogeneous mixture.

Transferring or sharing electrons between atoms forms
Brums [2.3K]
Transferring or sharing electrons between atoms forms a covalent bond. Covalent bonding is when atoms share electrons. It is a chemical bond that involves the sharing of electron pairs. These pairs are called bonding pairs. Examples of compounds that has covalent bonds are CO2, organic compounds, lipids and proteins.
