Explanation:

Christianity and Judaism, two of the world’s major religions, shared the same foundation—ancient Judaism. The two religions, however, eventually split in a series of partings, becoming two separate entities. There is one painting that dramatically illustrates the split of early Christianity and Judaism: Robert Campin’s Marriage of the Virgin. In his article “Parsing ‘The Parting.

The split of early Christianity and Judaism took place during the first centuries AD.It is commonly attributed to a number of events, including the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus (c. 33), the Council of Jerusalem (c. 50), the destruction of the Second Temple and institution of the Jewish tax in 70, the postulated, and largely discredited, Council of Jamnia c. 90, and the Bar Kokhba revolt.

Europeans began establishing colonies in North America. What year did this happen?
blondinia [14]

Answer:

It happened in 1607.

Explanation:

The first colony was established at Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607. A lot of people settled in the New World escaping religious persecution. The Pilgrims arrived in 1620. and founded Plymouth, Massachusetts. In both Virginia and Massachusetts, the colonists had some kind of, we could say support from Native Americans.

European Nations established colonies in North America because they wanted to expand their horizons (main reasons were the gold, glory, and spreading their religion). They also wanted to have more land than other countries.

The Spanish were among the first Europeans to explore the New World and the first to settle in what is now the United States.

By 1650, England had established a dominant presence on the Atlantic coast. They discovered corn which kept them from starving while, in Virginia, tobacco was a great way to make money. In early 1700s enslaved Africans contributed a growing percentage of the colonial population. By 1770, more than 2.000.000 people lived and worked in Great Britain's 13 North American colonies.

How does a representative democracy differ from an oligarchy? check all that apply .
Finger [1]

Answer:

Difference between Representative Democracy

Explanation:

Representative Democracy is a government system, in which a representative group of people elected (chosen) by general public - are in power.

a) People elect small group in power, b) Those few public elected people directly exercise power, c) Government positions are open to many people, d) Anyone can run for office - whosoever chosen by public comes in power : are characteristics of representative democracy, not of oligarchy

Oligarchy is a type of government, in which a small group of powerful people (powerful due to wealth, education, religion, military link etc) - are in power & the power tends to stay with them.

Oligarchy is run by a small group of powerful people, not elected by general public. Only those few powerful people exercise direct or indirect power - as they are not public representatives. Government positions are not open to many people, anyone cant run office, as the power tends to stay accumulated in that powerful group's hands.

Why is it important to plant the right trees?
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

Explanation:

Native trees have better disease and pest resistance, but how a tree is planted and the site that it is planted in can affect its overall health. Trees that become diseased are often attacked by insects (pests). This is because the disease weakens the tree's defenses, making it vulnerable to infestation by pests.
