The inequalities is given by l - w > 10  and l + w > 62

Let the possible length in meters, l, and the possible width in meters, w, of the pool.

Since the perimeter of a rectangular pool is more than 62 meters:

2(l + w) > 62

l + w > 62     (1)

Also,  the width is at least 10 meters less than the length. hence:

l - w > 10    (2)

The inequalities is given by l - w > 10  and l + w > 62

Answer:

a) m∠FGH= 28°

b) m∠HGI =  28°

c) m ∠FGI =  56°

Step-by-step explanation:

GH bisects ∠FGI. So, ∠FGH = ∠HGI

    5x - 2   = 6x -8

     5x - 6x = 2 - 8

              -x = - 6

               x = 6

a) m∠FGH = 5x - 2 = 5 * 6 - 2 = 30 - 2 = 28°

b) m∠HGI = 6x - 8  = 6 * 6 - 8  = 36 - 8 = 28°

c) m ∠FGI = m∠FGH + m∠HGI = 28° +28° = 56°

A Norman window is a rectangle with a semicircle on top. Suppose that the perimeter of a particular Norman window is to be 24 fe
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a is the width of the window and diameter of the semicircle and let h be height of the rectangular portion of the window

:

Perimeter:

2h + a + .5x*pi = 21

2h + 2.57a = 21

2h = 21 - 2.57a

h = (10.5-1.285a)

:

What would be the window with the greatest area;

Area = semicircle + rectangle

Radius = .5a

A = (.5*pi*(.5a)^2) + h*a

Replace h with (10.5-1.285a

A = (1.57*.25a^2) + x(10.5-1.285a)

A = .3927a^2 - 1.285a^2 + 10.5a

A = -.8923a^2 + 10.5a

Find the max area by finding the axis of symmetry; x = -b/(2a)

a = 5.88 meter is the width with the greatest area

:

Find the max area

A = -.8923(5.88^2) + 10.5(5.88)

A = -.8923(5.88^2) + 10.5(5.88)

A = -30.85 + 61.74

A = 30.89 sq/ft is max area

Find the inequality represented by the graph
leva [86]

Answer: y<x-1

Step-by-step explanation:

So first we have to find the blue line. y=mx+b is the equation. For slope it is 0--1 which is 1 and 1-0 which is 1 so the slope is just one or x now we need to find the y intercept which is just -1. So y<(is less than)x-1! Hope this helps :)
