Unit rate of 1/2 hour:$1.25
GREYUIT [131]
What I would do with is just multiply the 125 by half an hour yeah or just multiply the ones we five by in half an hour and get your final answer I multiply the 1.25 by 1.2 and I got 1.5 + If I multiply the 1.25 + 2i would get 2.5

Choose the equation of the horizontle lime that passes through the point (-8,-7)
adoni [48]

The horizontal line has an equation: y = a, where a is any real number.

We know, the line passes through the point (-8, -7) → x = -8, y = -7.

In the figure above line m is parallel to line n.
enot [183]

<u>Given</u>:

Line m is parallel to line n.

The measure of ∠1 is (4x + 15)°

The measure of ∠2 is (9x + 35)°

We need to determine the measure of ∠1

<u>Value of x:</u>

From the figure, it is obvious that ∠1 and ∠2 are linear pairs.

Thus, we have;

\angle 1+\angle 2=180^{\circ}

Substituting the measures of ∠1 and ∠2, we get;

4x+15+9x+35=180

             13x+50=180

                     13x=130

                        x=10

Thus, the value of x is 10.

<u>Measure of ∠1:</u>

The measure of ∠1 can be determined by substituting x = 10 in the measure of ∠1

Thus, we have;

\angle 1 =4(10)+15

    =40+15

\angle 1=55^{\circ}

Thus, the measure of ∠1 is 55°

The coordinates of rectangle ABCD are A(1, 2), B(4, 5),C(9, 0) and D(6, -3). What is the area of the rectangle? 18 square units
Natali5045456 [20]
In order to find the area of a rectangle, the formula is L*W (Length multiplied by Width). Our goal is to find these two measurements, so we will take the following steps:
1) Plot the coordinates on a graph (I have attached a visual guide)
2) Using the Pythagorean Theorem, or the Distance formula we can find the length and width: \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1} )^{2} +(y_{2}-y_{1} )^{2}
3) We will use these values in the Area formula for a rectangle (L*W)
4) After solving the Area formula with the values retrieved from the Distance Formula we find that the area is roughly 30 units squared.
