You invest all the money you earned during your summer sales job (a total of $45,000) into the stock of a company that produces
erica [24]

Answer:

The annual rate of return of the invesment will be -14,97%

Explanation:

The initial investment is 45.000 and after 5 years the value of the investment is only 20.000. Here we can see a destruction of value (20.000 < 45.000). In finance, the time takes an essential part in calculation, so through the interest rate we calculated how bad was the investment in annual terms. The formula is as follows: Final investment value=(Initial investment*(1+interest rate)^(total years)) in our case would be: 20.000=(45.000*(1+interest rate)^(5)) From this formula we got -14,97%

Break-Even Point
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

The right answer is:

(a) 5916 units

(b) 5046 units

Explanation:

Given:

Sales,

= $59

Variable cost,

= $30

Fixed cost,

= $171,564

Increased sale,

= $64

Now,

(a)

Contribution margin will be:

= Sales - Variable \ cost

= 59-30

= 29 \ per \ unit ($)

hence,

Breakeven will be:

= \frac{Fixed \ cost}{Contribution \ margin}

= \frac{171564}{29}

= 5916 \ units

(b)

Contribution margin will be:

= Sales-Variable \ cost

= 64-30

= 34 \ per \ unit ($)

hence,

Breakeven will be:

= \frac{Fixed \ cost}{Contribution \ margin}

= \frac{171564}{34}

= 5046 \ units

This problem has been solved!
velikii [3]

hey there!:

1)

a) Amount of credit the company would receive against the FUTA tax for its SUTA contributions = 2896.21

(56900*3.1%*90%)+(56900*(5.4%-3.1%)) = 2896.21

b)  Amount that Peroni Company would pay to the federal government for its FUTA tax = 517.79

(56900*6%)-2896.21 = 517.79

c) Amount that the company lost because of its late payments = 176.39

=517.79-(3414-1763.9-1308.7) = 176.39

Hope that helps!
