G) X-3 (x - 2) = 3 (2-x)

  • x - 3( x - 2 ) = 3 ( 2 - x )

Multiply 3 with x - 2 on LHS and 3 with 2 - x on RHS

  • or, x - 3x + 6 = 6 - 3x

Now take -3x to LHS and change its symbol to +. And take 6 to RHS and change it to negative.

  • or, x - 3x + 3x = 6 - 6

-3x and 3x will cancel out and also 6 and -6 will also get cancelled out.

  • or, x = 0

For which acute angles is the following statement true? The complement of the angle is smaller in measure than either of the two
Hitman42 [59]

Let the acute angle be 2x.

Its complement is 90 - 2x.

It is given that this complementary angle is less than each of the bisected angle.

Therefore, 90 - 2x < x

90 < 3x

or, x > 30.

2x > 60

Therefore, the statement is true for all angles that are greater than 60 degrees.

A serving of filet mignon is generally considered to be about 1/4
dybincka [34]
If 1 serving = 1/4 pound, then 4 servings = 1 pound. 6 pounds *4=24 servings. That leaves 1/3 of a pound. 1/4 pound is less than 1/3 pound, so you get one more serving.

That makes 25 servings, and 1/12 of a pound left over.

How do you know it is 1/12? Well, LCD (lowest common denominator) shows that 1/3-1/4= 4/12-3/12=1/12.

Explain the two ways we can find the slope from an equation written in STANDARD FORM. Which way is more convenient and WHY?
Crank

Answer: Derivative or y = mx + b

Step-by-step explanation:

Take the m value from the standard form equation:

y = mx + b

Or, the second way, is to take the derivative of the function and plug in your x value for your slope.

The derivative of a linear function is very easy to take, so it boils to preference
