Answer: 1080 km.
Explanation: Since she bikes 30 weekends per year, and for each of those 30 weekends she rides 9km, we can simply multiply 30*9 and find that she bikes 270km a year. However, the question asks how much she bikes in four years. To solve for this we can multiply our yearly distance by four, resulting in 1080 km.

Hamburger heaven is having a lunch special where customers buy one 3/4 pounds cheese burger and get one free if they set aside 1
Yuri [45]

Answer:

49

Step-by-step explanation:

49 hamburguers (of 3/4 pound)

Step-by-step explanation:

3/4 pound is equal to 0.75 pound

37 1/3 pounds of meat is equal to

37 + 1/3 pound =  37.3333 pounds

To find how much hamburguers can be made, we need to divide

37.3333 pounds/ 0.75 pounds

37.3333 pounds/ 0.75 pounds = 49.777777

(We need to round to the lowest number)

This means that 49 hamburguers could be made

A person 6 feet tall standing 18 feet away from a lamppost casts a 9 foot shadow. When the same person moves 4 feet farther from
Len [333]

Answer:

<h2>12 feet 8 inch long cast a shadow</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

A person 6 feet tall standing 18 feet away a lamppost cast a 9 foot shadow.

than move 4 feet than total distance is 22 feet

According to trigonometry rule make 30 degree angle

tan\left ( 30\ \right )^{o}=\frac{p}{b}

\left ( \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} \right )=\left ( \frac{x}{18+4} \right )

or

x\sqrt{3}=22

than

x=\frac{22}{\sqrt{3}}

=12feet 8 inch answer

[tex]cos {}^{4} α+sin {}^{4} α= \frac{1}{4} (3+cos4α)<br>Prove:<br>
asambeis [7]

Given:

\cos^4 \alpha+\sin^4\alpha=\dfrac{1}{4}(3+\cos 4 \alpha)

To prove:

The given statement.

Proof:

We have,

\cos^4 \alpha+\sin^4\alpha=\dfrac{1}{4}(3+\cos 4 \alpha)

LHS=\cos^4 \alpha+\sin^4\alpha

LHS=(\cos^2 \alpha)^2+(\sin^2 \alpha)^2

LHS=(\cos^2 \alpha+\sin^2\alpha)^2-2\sin ^2\alpha\cos^2 \alpha     [\because a^2+b^2=(a+b)^2-2ab]

LHS=(1)^2-2(1-\cos^2 \alpha)\cos^2 \alpha      [\because \cos^2 \alpha+\sin^2\alpha=1]

LHS=1-2\cos^2 \alpha+2\cos^4 \alpha

Now,

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}(3+\cos 4 \alpha)

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[3+(2\cos^2 2\alpha-1)]        [\because \cos 2\theta=2\cos^2\theta -1]

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[2+2\cos^2 2\alpha]

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[2+2(2\cos^2 \alpha-1)^2]        [\because \cos 2\theta=2\cos^2\theta -1]

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[2+2(4\cos^4 \alpha-4\cos \alpha+1)]        [\because (a-b)^2=a^2-2ab+b^2]

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[2+8\cos^4 \alpha-8\cos \alpha+2]

RHS=\dfrac{1}{4}[4+8\cos^4 \alpha-8\cos \alpha]

RHS=1+2\cos^4 \alpha-2\cos \alpha

RHS=1-2\cos^2 \alpha+2\cos^4 \alpha

LHS=RHS

Hence proved.

-6+8x=-38<br> What is the answer and explain how you got it step by step
Anarel [89]
-6 +8x = -38
8x = -32
x = -4
I did this by first adding 6 to both sides to get 8x by itself. I then divided by 8 to get x by itself. I remembered to use the - - + rule (Two negatives make a positive, a positive and a negative make a negative). Hope this helps!
