Answer:

-what it means for the cell cycle to be out of control: If the checkpoint mechanisms detect problems with the DNA, the cell cycle is halted, and the cell attempts to either complete DNA replication or repair the damaged DNA.

-is it appropriate to connect cancer and the cell cycle?:Superficially, the connection between the cell cycle and cancer is obvious: cell cycle machinery controls cell proliferation, and cancer is a disease of inappropriate cell proliferation. Fundamentally, all cancers permit the existence of too many cells.

Does birds kill their young
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

It depends.

Explanation:

Often times, first-time mothers will not know what to do with their young and accidentally kill them.

Other times, birds will kill their young because the chicks fall ill, and the mothers do not want the sickness to spread to the rest of her chicks.

But for the most part, mothers will keep healthy young and try to keep them alive.

Hope this helps!

Answer: creating an ozone layer to shield life from UV rays

Cynobacteria or blue green algae is the strain of bacteria, which was able to produce oxygen in the primitive earth as a result of photosynthesis. The abundance of oxygen in the atmosphere formed the ozone layer in the upper atmospheric layers, these layers are protective enough to provide a shield against the harmful UV radiations incident on earth coming from the sun.

LekaFEV [45]

After the fossils are buried in the mud the soft tissues start to decompose rapidly. Leaving only the hard shells or bones of the animal. With time, sediment starts to build up on the top and then hardens into rock. The bones then start to decay, minerals start to enter and then end up replacing the organic material cell by cell in a process that is known as "petrification." So the answer you are looking for is B,  Mud can prevent oxygen from reaching the dead organism.

What are the two sources of heat in the earth's interior?
pentagon [3]

The answer is; A

Since the earth was formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago, the heat that was generated during its formation has not been entirely lost. Some of the heat is still insulated inside the earth (below the crust) and is only lost very slowly over time. In addition, the earth hardly cools because the lost heat is replenished by the heat from radioactive elements that decay  in the earth’s core. Some of these radioactive elements are uranium.
