They would need to by 3 more tickets. 214 divided by 9 = 23 with the remainder of 3. So I divided 217 by 9 = 23. I added 3 to 214 which got a whole answer 23.

I hope I helped.

enyata [817]
The pool has a diameter 20 ft so:  r = 10 ft.
The pool cover extents 12 inches beyond the edge of the pool.
12 inches = 1 foot
Therefore, the radius of the pool cover is : r = 10 + 1 = 11 ft.
a. The area of the pool cover:
A = r² π = 11² π = 121 π ft²
b.  The length of the rope:

If the difference of two numbers is 43 and the sum of the numbers is 13, what<br> are the numbers?
meriva

Answer:

Numbers are 28 and -15

Step-by-step explanation:

Mark first number X, and second number Y, then:

x-y=43

and

x+y=13

We get system of two equations. Solve it by add both them together:

x-y+x+y=43+13

2x=56

x=28 we get first number

x+y=13

28+y=13

y=13-28

y=-15
