Why did the US civil rights movement gain new momentum after World War II? A. President Truman desegregated the armed forces. B.
Goshia [24]

Answer:

C. The booming economy had created a larger black middle class.

Explanation:

There is a long history of the struggle for civil rights by the minorities in the United States. Before the Second World War, most African Americans were low-wage farmers, factory employees, household employees or servants. But early 1940's changed the situation because the rising economy during the wartime created some opportunities for them. Secondly, Blacks fought bravely during this time. As the war ended they now demanded equal participation in American society.

Describe the features of the Iranian plateau. Write a short paragraph in which you describe a least 3 features?
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

The Iranian Plateau is bordered by the Caspian Sea to the north, the Persian Gulf to the south, and the Zagros Mountains in the west.

Explanation:

The Iranian Plateau is located where Central Asia and Western Asia meet. It is the area between the Arabian and Indian plates with the Caspian Sea to the north and the Persian Gulf to the south.  The Zagros Mountains border it in the west, while the Indo-Gangetic plains are the eastern limits of the plateau in Pakistan.   It is also known historically as the Persian plateau.  In antiquity, the region was known as Persia.  The plateau is home to diverse wildlife including bears, wild boars, and leopards. Their habitat is largely the wooded mountain regions of the plateau. In the areas contingent to the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf there are marine fowl like gulls and geese.  The wood from the forests on the plateau is used in making household items like doors and furniture and a lot of fruit is grown in this region.

Kelly spent four days at a training program centered on the use of improved hygiene procedures to reduce infections in long-term
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options provided, we can answer the following.

Kelly spent four days at a training program centered on the use of improved hygiene procedures to reduce infections in long-term care facilities. When she returned to work after the training, Kelly wanted to implement the new practices in her work unit. However, she was unable to do so because of resistance from the nursing staff and the lack of interest of the medical director. As a result, Kelly was not able to use her learning on the job. This scenario exemplifies the HR term called encapsulated development.

This Human Resources term means that an employee has the chance to get some training or continuing education program to improve its knowledge, or maybe visits another company to learn what this company does best, and when the employee returns to its own company he/she cannot apply what he learned because employees and management are so used to do what has been done in the past. They do not like to innovate and change. They live in their comfort zones.
