Answer:

A separation technique to separate solids from a solution. Crystallization can be defined as the process through which the atoms/molecules of a substance arrange themselves in a well-defined three-dimensional lattice and consequently, minimize the overall energy of the system.

Answer:

Crystallization of solids

Explanation:

What is Crystallization?

Crystallization is a technique used for the purification of substances. A separation technique to separate solids from a solution.

Crystallization can be defined as the process through which the atoms/molecules of a substance arrange themselves in a well-defined three-dimensional lattice and consequently, minimize the overall energy of the system. When a substance is subjected to crystallization, its atoms or molecules bind together through well-defined angles.

On adding a solid substance in a liquid and stirring it, the solid dissolves in the fluid. But when adding more and more solid to the liquid, a point comes after which no more solid dissolves in the liquid. This point is called a saturation point and the fluid is called a saturation solution.

Key words and phrases:

saturation, crystallization, solids, liquids, substance, atoms, molecules, saturation solution, saturation point, purification, separation, solution, dissolve

Hope this helps! Brainliest would be much appreciated! Have a great day! :)

Tom and Mary are riding a merry-go-round. Tom is on a horse about half way between the center and the outer rim, and Mary is on
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Tom is on half way between the center and the outer rim

Mary is on the extreme outer rim

Suppose \omega is the angular velocity of ride with radius of outer rim be R

\alpha =angular acceleration of Ride

At any instant both Tom and Mary experience the same angular speed

(b)Linear velocity at any instant

v_{Tom}=\omega \times R

v_{Mary}=\omeag \times \frac{R}{2}

Thus Tom has higher linear speed

(c) For radial Acceleration

a_r=\omega ^2\times r

a_{Tom}=\omega ^2\times R

a_{Mary}=\omega ^2\times \frac{R}{2}

Tom has higher radial Acceleration as it is directly Proportional of radius

PLEASE HELP. A substance decays according the the equation ae^-0.0025t, where t is in minutes. Find the half life of the substan
mojhsa [17]

First of all, that's not an equation. An equation needs an 'equals' sign ( = ),
so you need something like

               Amount present = a e^-0.0025t .

                                   'a' = amount present when t = 0 .

The half-life is the time it takes for the original amount to decay to half of it.

That's just 't' when                      e^-0.0025t  =  1/2

Take the natural log of each side: -0.0025t = ln(0.5)

Divide each side by  -0.0025 :        t = ln(0.5) / (-0.0025) =

                                                     (-0.69315) / (-0.0025) =

                                                   t  =  277.26 minutes

                                                    ( 4hrs 37min 15.5sec)

Rounded to nearest tenth:  t = 277.3 minutes .

How an application of atmospheric device work?example siphon
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

A practical siphon, operating at typical atmospheric pressures and tube heights, works because gravity pulling down on the taller column of liquid leaves reduced pressure at the top of the siphon (formally, hydrostatic pressure when the liquid is not moving).

I hope it's helpful!
