<h2>Introduction</h2>

Hello! I hope you are having a nice day. My name is Galaxy and I will be helping you today!

We can solve this problem in two steps, one being the Formula / Theory and another being Solving.

If you do have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments and I'll happily answer them. I'll start off with the Formula section now.

<h2>Formula</h2>

The formula for finding the distance can be solving using the formula d=rt in which d is the <u>distance</u>, r is the <u>rate</u>, and t is the <u>time</u>.

The formula is used a lot in Science and Physics and is a formula that is worth remembering.

<h2>Solving</h2>

Since we know the rate, which is 32 and we know that the time is 16 seconds, we can use our formula and begin to solve it.

I'll do everything line by line with an explanation to make it easier to understand.

1. Substitution

We can substitute our values into our equation to make it solvable.

d= 32\frac{m}{s}*16\frac{s}{1}

2. Simplification

We can now make the problem easier for us by using <em>Unit Analysis</em>, this will make it so that we can make the units make sense for us and this is used to make proper equations.

d=(32*16) * (\frac{m}{s} *\frac{s}{1})

Notice how we've separated the units to make it easier to interpret.

We can now cancel out the bottom seconds from <em>meters</em> over<em> seconds</em> to get our unit of <em>meters</em>.

d=(32*16) * (\frac{m}{1})\\d=512m

After solving, we get our final answer of 512 meters in 16 seconds.

Have a nice day!

Answer:

512 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

the rate or speed given to you is 32 meters per second

the time given to you is 16 seconds

to find the distance, you multiply your rate and time (not add)

multiplying would get you to 512 m/s

Chloe and Libby want to tie Ryan to a bunch of approximately spherical helium balloons of diameter 0.3m. The volume of each ball
dem82 [27]

Answer:  Aproximately 2,525 balloons

Step-by-step explanation:

 1. Find the volume of a balloon with the formula given in the problem, where r is the radius (r=\frac{0.3m}{2}=0.15m), then:

V=4(0.15m)^{3}=0.0135m^{3}

2. Convert the volume from m³ to lliters by multiplying it by 1,000:

V=0.0135m^{3}*1000=13.5L

3. You know that that 1 liter of helium can lift 1 gram and that Ryan weighs 5 stone and 5 pounds. So you must make the following conversions:

1 g=0.0022 lb

From 5 stones to pounds

(5stone)(\frac{14pounds}{1stone})=70pounds=70lbs

4. Then Ryan's weigh is:

5lb+70lb=75lb

5. Then, if 1 liter of helium can lift 0.0022 lb, to lift 75 lb (which is the weight of Ryan) they need:

\frac{75lb*1L}{0.0022lb}=34,090.90L

6. Then, to calculate the aproximated number of balloons they need to make him float (which can call n), you must  divide the liters of helium needed to lift the weight of Ryan by the volume of a balloon, then the result is:

n=\frac{34,090.90L}{13.5L}

n=2,525.25≈2,525 balloons.
