f(x) = -2x + 1

3 = -2(-1) + 1

3 = 2 + 1

3 = 3 (TRUE)

(0,1)

f(x) = -2x^2 - 4x + 1

1 = -2(0)^2 - 4(0) + 1

1 = 0 + 0 + 1

1 = 1 (TRUE)

(2, 5)

f(x) = 2sqrt(x + 2) + 1

5 = 2sqrt(2 + 2) + 1

5 = 2sqrt(4) + 1

5 = 2(2) + 1

5 = 4 + 1

5 = 5 (TRUE)
