<h3>Solution (1):</h3>

<u>We know that:</u>

  • Sum of the angles in a quadrilateral = 360°
  • Base angles of a trapezoid are equal
  • Top angles of a trapezoid are equal

<u>This means that:</u>

  • 130 + 130 + \angle1 + \angle1 = 360

<em>Let's simplify the equation to find ∠1.</em>

Step-by step calculations:

<u>Add the constants:</u>

  • 260 + \angle1 + \angle1 = 360

<u>Add the angles:</u>

  • 260 + 2\angle1 = 360

<u>Subtract 260 both sides:</u>

  • 260 - 260 + 2\angle1 = 360 - 260
  • => 2\angle1 = 100

<u>Divide 2 both sides:</u>

  • => \frac{2\angle1}{2}  = \frac{100}{2}
  • => \bold{\angle1 = 50\°}
<h3>Solution (2):</h3>

<u>We know that:</u>

  • Sum of the angles in a quadrilateral = 360°

<u>This means that:</u>

  • 109 + 87 + 90 + \angle1 = 360\°

<em>Let's simplify the equation to find ∠1.</em>

Step-by step calculations:

<u>Simplify the LHS:</u>

  • 109 + 87 + 90 + \angle1 = 360\°
  • => 286 + \angle1 = 360\°

<u>Subtract 286 both sides:</u>

  • => 286 - 286 + \angle1 = 360 - 286
  • => \angle1 = 360 - 286

<u>Simplify the RHS:</u>

  • => \bold{\angle1 = 74\°}

kiruha [24]

angle abc and ghk are equal by given. you set them equal and solve like this.

6x+2=5x-27+3x+1   combine like terms

6x+2=8x-26    subtract 6x from both sides

2=2x-26   add 26 to both sides

28=2x   divide both sides by 2

x=14

measure of abc would be 6x+2 or 6(14)+2 or 86 degrees
