Answer:

30) x=124

31) x=72

Step-by-step explanation:

30 Explanation: The shape has a total of 720 degrees since it is a hexagon.   There are two right angles you can subtract 180 from the 720 which leaves you with 540.  You know with the rest of the information can combine the remaining angles and make the equation 4x+44=540.  You then get x=124.

31 Explanation: here is a total of 540 degrees in the shape.  Since the angles are all congruent you 540/5=108.  Since you need x you need to do x+108=180.  This means x=72.

Angles C and D are supplementary, meaning they add up to 180 degrees. So, if we add 8u-48 to 5u+46, we get 13u-2. We set that equal to 180, so 13u-2=180. Add the two, so 13u=182. Divide the 13, so u=14. To double check, plug in 14 to both expressions. 8(14)-48 and 5(14)+46. 8(14)-48 is 64. 5(14)+46 is 116. If you add 64+116, you get 180, which proves your answer right! So u= 14

The table shows the depth
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

  The sub rose 121 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sub was less deep at 12 pm than at 10 am, so rose in the water. The amount it rose was ...

  410 -289 = 121 . . . . feet

__

If you like, you can think of the sub's elevation relative to the surface as changing from -410 feet to -289 feet. The difference is then an increase in elevation (rise) of ...

  -289 -(-410) = -289 +410 = 121 . . . feet

_____

12 am is midnight, 14 hours after 10 am. The time 2 hours after 10 am is 12 pm, noon.
