zysi [14]

Answer:

a) a=-28m/s^{2}

b) \frac{dT}{dx}=-5 ^{o}C/m

Explanation:

a)

In order to solve this problem, we need to start by remembering how the acceleration is related to the velocity of a particle. We have the following relation:

a=\frac{dv}{dt}

in other words, the acceleration is defined to be the derivative of the velocity function with respect to time. So let's take our speed function:

u=20-2x

if we take its derivative we get:

du=-2dx

this is the same as writting:

\frac{du}{dt}=-2\frac{dx}{dt}

we also know that velocity is defined to be:

u=\frac{dx}{dt}

so we get that:

a=-2u

when substituting we get that:

a=-2(20-2x)

when expanding we get:

a=-40+4x

and now we can use this equation to find our acceleration at x=3, so:

a=-40+4(3)

a=-40+12

a=-28 m/s^{2}

b)

the same applies to this problem with the difference that this will be the rate of change of the temperature per m. So we proceed and take the derivative of the temperature function:

T=200-5x

\frac{dT}{dx}=-5

so the rate of change is -5^{o}C/m

Advocard [28]

Here's mine!!!

If I were to write a book I would write my steps down as in figuring out what I what to talk about. Have an Introduction- Using an introduction is needed because you need to Describe your main idea, or what the essay is about, in one sentence. ... Develop a thesis statement, or what you want to say about the main idea. ... List three points or arguments that support your thesis in order of importance (one sentence for each). I would also use a Rising action- This is needed because, To construct the plot, nearly any story can be said to use increasing action. It serves the following purposes: It generates suspense and enhances the sense of urgency around the story's central conflict or problem. Then I would do a Climax- The object of a climax is not to provide the most possible conflict or action. It's also not just about producing the character's greatest reversal of fortunes. Too often we mistake the fortunes of our character with the story's arc, and although fortune is involved, it's not our story arc's key criterion. After that, I would just add finish touches and finish it off before it needs to be shipped off to make copies.

Under normal conditions, gauge pressure is ______ absolute pressure.
levacccp [35]

Answer:

Option B  Lower than

Explanation:

Gauge pressure is a relative measurement based on atmospheric pressure. Gauge pressure can be positive if it is above atmospheric pressure or it can also be negative it is below.  On another hand, absolute pressure is an actual pressure in a space and its value has always to be zero or above. Basically absolute pressure is zero if it is in a perfect vacuum. So the measurement of absolute pressure is gauge pressure + atmospheric pressure.  This is the reason in normal condition the gauge pressure = absolute pressure - atmospheric pressure and therefore is lower than absolute pressure
