\sf\huge\underline{\star Solution:-}

<h3><u>Given that</u>:</h3>
  • Hypotenuse of a right triangle = \sf\blue{16cm.}
  • One side (leg) = \sf\blue{9cm.}

<h3><u>To Find</u>:</h3>
  • Measure of another side(leg).

<h3><u>Solution</u>:-</h3>

\rightarrow As we know that,

\sf{A^2 +B^2 \:=\: C^2}(Pythagoras Theorem)

So, using this formula we can find measure of another side(leg).

\rightarrow\sf{A^2 +B^2 \:=\: C^2}(putting the value of both given side of triangle)

  • Here I am putting the value of hypotenuse in C because it is the longest side of triangle.

\rightarrow \sf{9^2 +B^2 \:=\: 16^2}

\rightarrow \sf{81 +B^2 \:=\: 256}

\rightarrow \sf{B^2 \:=\: 256-81}

\rightarrow \sf{B^2 \:=\: 175}

\rightarrow \sf{B \:=\: \sqrt{175}}

\rightarrow \sf{B\:=\: 13.22(approx)}

Therefore, measure of another side (leg) of the triangle = \sf\purple{ 13.22(approx).}

An equation is shown.<br> 18+ 5(2x + 5) = 12<br> Solve the equation for x.
andriy [413]

Step-by-step explanation:

18+ 5(2x + 5) = 12

18 + 10x + 25 = 12

43 + 10x = 12

10x = 12 -43

10x = -31

x = -3.1

A car’s original price was $26,500. Mr. Thomas paid $19,610. What percent discount did Mr. Thomas receive on the car?
geniusboy [140]
26,500 - 19,610 = 6,890

6,890 would be your price discount, but now you'd have to find your percent discount. Make it into an equation to make things easier.

6,890/26,500 = p/100

(6,890*100)/26,500 = p

6,890*100 = 689,000

689,000/26,500 = 26

The price discount would be 26%.

Im in algebra II honors and right now we are working on parabolas and quadratic equations. Can someone help me understand how to
Maurinko [17]

f (x) = a(x - h)2 + k, where (h, k) is the vertex of the parabola. FYI: Different textbooks have different interpretations of the reference "standard form" of a quadratic function.

The standard form of a parabola is y=ax2++bx+c , where a≠0 . The vertex is the minimum or maximum point of a parabola. If a>0 , the vertex is the minimum point and the parabola opens upward. If a<0 , the vertex is the maximum point and the parabola opens downward.
