What is the vertex and y-intercept of f(x) = -2x^2 + 4x + 6

6 0
F(x)= -2x^2+4x+6
We can use -b/2a to find the line of symmetry
a= -2
b= 4
c= 6

and the x value for the line of symmetry gives you the x value for the vertex
-4/(2*-2)
-1=x

Plug this x value back into the function to find the y value for the vertex

f(x)= -2(-1)^2+(4*-1)+6
f(x)= -2+(-4)+6
f(x)= 0
the c value is the y intercept

Vertex: (-1,0)
Y intercept: 6

Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

V = 972m^3

Step-by-step explanation:

small  = lwh = 9(2)(6)

large = lwh = 16(9)(6)

V = 9(2)(6) + 16(9)(6)

V = 108 + 864

V = 972m^3

Add: (3x2 - 5x + 6) + (9 - 8x - 4x2)
Stolb23 [73]
Add: (3x2 - 5x + 6) + (9 - 8x - 4x2)
The givens should be arranged first before we can start answering.
    3x2 - 5x + 6 plus
   -4x2 - 8x + 9
= -x2  - 13x +15
Therefore, the answer to the question is E) -x2  - 13x +15

Solve for x.

2003-05-04-00-00_files/i0060000.jpg
icang [17]
Given the equation: (km / 3) - 2x = 4, it is essential to isolate x to obtain the expression to solve it. This is done below:

(km / 3) - 2x = 4

Adding 2x to both sides:

(km / 3) - 2x + 2x = 4 + 2x
(km / 3) = 4 + 2x

Subtracting 4 from both sides:

(km / 3) - 4 = 4 + 2x - 4
(km / 3) - 4 = 2x

Dividing 2 from both sides:

[(km / 3) - 4] /2 = 2x /2
[(km / 3) - 4] /2 = x
x = (km / 6) - 2
