16 x 14 = 224

this is our total sqaure footage of the room

next we take the two different flooring options and multiply them by the total sqaure footage.

224 x 5.25$ = 1176$ total coast to put in oak flooring

Then we subtract the two and your left with a difference of 392$ between the different flooring options
