The net force on an object is the combined effect  of all the pushing and pulling forces actually acting on the object.

Net force acting on book is  F = 4 N

The net force on an object is the combined effect  of all the pushing and pulling forces actually acting on the object.

If the forces pushing or pulling on an object are not balanced  then the object will accelerate in the direction of the net force

If the forces pushing or pulling on an object are balanced  then the object will be in rest position.

Net force on book is,

                     F(net) = 7 - 3 = 4 N

A 111 kg 111 kg horizontal platform is a uniform disk of radius 1.67 m 1.67 m and can rotate about the vertical axis through its
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

287.19 kg.m²

Explanation:

Given that :

The mass M of the horizontal platform  = 111 kg

The radius R of the uniform disk = 1.67 m

mass  of the person standing m_p = 64.7 kg

distance of the person standing d_p = 1.15 m

mass of the dog m_d = 25.7 kg

distance of the dog d_d = 1.35 m

Considering the moment of inertia of the object in the system; the net moment of the inertia can be expressed as:

=  \frac{MR^2}{2}+m_pd_p^2+m_dd_d^2

= (\frac{111*1.67^2}{2})+ (64.7 *1.15^2)+ (25.7*1.35^2)

= 287.19 kg.m²

A 0.140 kg baseball is thrown with a velocity of 33.6 m/s. It is struck with an average force of 5000.0 N, which results in a ve
timama [110]

Answer:

0.00198 secs

Explanation:

Parameters given:

Mass of baseball, m = 0.14 kg

Initial velocity of baseball, u = 33.6 m/s

Force applied to baseball, F = -5000 N

(The force is applied in an opposite direction to the initial velocity)

Final velocity, v = -37 m/s

Using the impulse-momentum theory, we have that the impulse applied to the baseball is equal to the change in momentum of the baseball:

FΔt = m(v - u)

Time interval, Δt, will be given as:

Δt = \frac{m(v - u)}{F}

Δt = \frac{0.14(-37.0  - 33.6)}{-5000}

Δt = \frac{0.14 * -70.6}{-5000}

Δt = \frac{-9.884}{5000}

Δt = 0.00198 secs

The bat and the baseball were in contact for 0.00198 secs.

Plz hep me tell ans of this only
Stolb23 [73]

We have no idea what force the object might exert until it hits something.

In order to accelerate 70 kg at the rate of 20 m/s^2, YOU or some machine has to PUSH it with a force of (F=m•a) 1,400 Newtons. If you stop pushing it, it stops accelerating.
