Answer:

The numbers are 8 , 5 , 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the three numbers be x,y,z

Sum of three numbere is 14

⇒ x +y + z = 14 ---------------(I)

The sum of twice the first number, 4 times the second number, and 5 times the third number is 41.

⇒ 2x + 4y + 5z = 41 -----------(II)

The difference between 7 times the first number and the second number is 51.

⇒  7x -y = 51 ---------------(III)

Multiply equation (I) by (-5) and then add this wiht equation (II). Thus 'z' will be eliminated.

(I)*(-5)        -5x - 5y - 5z = -70

(II                2x + 4y + 5z = 41   {Now add}

                -3x   - y          = - 29  ------------(IV)

Multiply (III by (-1) and then add it with equation (IV)

(III)*(-1)        -7x + y = -51

(IV)             -3x - y = -29    {Now add}

                 -10x     = -80

                          x = -80 ÷ (-10)

x = 8

Plugin x = 8 in equation (III) and we obtain the value of y

7*8 - y = 51

56 - y = 51

     -y = 51 - 56

    -y = -5

   y = -5 ÷ (-1)

y = 5

Plugin x =8 and y =5 in equaiton (I)

8 + 5 + z = 14

    13 + z = 14

         z  = 14 - 13

z = 1

A square poster has a side length of 26 in. Drawn on the poster are four identical triangles. Each triangle has a base of 8 in.
Firdavs [7]
To find the probability of landing on a triangle, you will want find the combined areas of the triangles and the total area of the square target.

Divide the area of the combined areas and the total area to find the probability of landing on a triangle.

A = 1/2bh
      1/2 x 8 x 8
A = 32 square inches
32 x 4
128 square inches (areas of triangles)

A = bh
     26 x 26
A = 676 square inches

128/676 = 0.189

There is an approximate probability of 0.19 of hitting a triangle.

Is it possible to make a triangle with measure of 3mm 9mm and 5mm
tatyana61 [14]

Answer: No

Step-by-step explanation: if you mean the measure of a is 3, the measure of b is 9 and the measure of c is 5, c being the hypotenuse then the answer is no because the the sides of a and b must be less than the measure of c. If 5 wasn’t the hypotenuse then the answer would be different.

(KEEP IN MIND THAT IF 9 IS THE HYPOTENUSE THEN THE ANSWER IS YES)

Hope this helps! :)
