if the diameter of a cone is 16cm and the height is 15cm what is the volume? I've tried the formula v=1/3*3.14*r^2*h but the ans

wer wasn't on the choice pick even when I divided the diameter by 2 to get the radius which is 6. and I've tried leg^2 +leg^2=hypotenuse, but I probably did it wrong. If you find the answer could you show how you found it? I'll put u as the brainiest.

Answer:

V= volume of cone A=Ah A= πr2

A= area of base 3

H= height

V= (3.1416)(16)(15) 3.1416x16x15= 753.9

3

V= 753.9 753.9÷3= 251.3 cu. in

3

Volume of the cone is 251.3 cu. in

I hope this helps you. Good luck!

First, by using the distance formula for just one side, we can find the length of all sides (a square has 4 equal sides.) Then, we can apply the area of a square formula, which is a^2.

Distance formula:

\sqrt{(x.2 - x.1)^{2} + (y.2 - y.1)^{2}}

√((-2 + 5)^2 + (-8 + 4)^2)

√((3)^2 + (4)^2)

√9 + 16

√25

5

The side lengths of the square are each equal to 5, and by applying the formula for area, we can find the area of the square.

5^2 = 25

<h3>The area is 25.</h3>

Simplify by expressing fractional exponents instead of radicals
igomit [66]

Answer:

a^{\frac{1}{2}}b^{\frac{1}{2}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The expression in radical form is given as:

\sqrt{ab}

We need to express this in fractional exponent form.

We know that,

\sqrt a=a^{\frac{1}{2}}

Also, \sqrt{ab}=\sqrt a\times \sqrt b

Now, clubbing both the properties of square root function, we can rewrite the given expression as:

\sqrt{ab}=\sqrt a \times \sqrt b\\\\\sqrt{ab}=a^{\frac{1}{2}}\times b^{\frac{1}{2}}\\\\\therefore \sqrt{ab}=a^{\frac{1}{2}}b^{\frac{1}{2}}

So, the given expression in fractional exponents form is a^{\frac{1}{2}}b^{\frac{1}{2}}.

jim had 20 to spend at the video rental he has a late fee of 4.00 and it will cost him 2.99 to rent each movie not including tax
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

2.99m-4 (less than or equal to symbol after) 20

Step-by-step explanation:

This would come out too 5 movies because 20-4= 16 16-2.99=5.3 but it is impossible to buy 5.3 movies so you would round it down to 5
