Tom [10]
An infant galaxy that is studied through the use of radio waves is called QUASAR.
Quasar are astronomical object, which have very high luminosity and they are found in the centers of some galaxies. Scientists believed that quasar are centers of distant galaxies. Radio waves is used to study quasar because they emit a huge amount of radio waves.

PLEASE HELP 15 POINTSexplain properties and importance of light and how it separates into colors
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

It is not a property of light. It is your eyes and brain.

Specifically, the three kinds of cone cells in our eye that are sensitive to different ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum. The fact that there are three means that color is three dimensional, and is the reason the pure colors form a circle even though the spectrum of wavelengths is linear.

Visible light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum; light waves of different frequencies and wavelengths are distinguished as colors by the human eye. A prism can separate the colors of white light (dispersion) because different frequencies of light have different refractive indices for a given material.

A mine elevator cage with a mass of 2.5 tons empty is descending at a rate of 32 km/hr when the hoist mechanism jams and stops s
True [87]

Answer:

σ = 4.1 MPa

Explanation:

Given that

m= 2.5 kg

v=  32 km.hr

v= 8.88 m/s

The kinetic energy of the mass ,KE

KE = mv²/2

KE = 2.5 x 8.88²/2

KE= 98.56 J    -------1

The strain energy of the string

E=\dfrac{\sigma^2}{2E}AL

E=\dfrac{\sigma^2}{2\times 84,000\times 10^6}\times 6.5\times 10^{-4}\times 1500

E={\sigma^2}\times {5.80\times 10^{-12}} ----2

KE= E

98.56={\sigma^2}\times {5.80\times 10^{-12}}

\sigma =\sqrt{\dfrac{98.56}{5.80\times 10^{-12}}}

σ = 4.1 MPa
