Describe two criteria a student can use when determining which college or university to attend.

SAT
1 answer:

7 0

The first criteria could be the area of major that college is known to be strong at, because ultimately you come to university to pursue a certain spectrum of knowledge that you would later apply to your job. Thus if your college doesn't have a strong program in your field of interest, it would be hard to find a job, which are usually interested in students who come from a college who is known to be strong in that field

The second criteria is the location because once you narrowed down to the last few college that fits your education need, you need to check its location to determine the safety and whether you feel comfortable with the surrounding. Why location is so importance, it is because location is something that you cannot change and that you must live with while other criteria are bit more flexible for you to change and adapt to.

Hope that helps!

Jennifer has $25. 00 and earns $0. 50 for every chore she completes. Amaya has $13. 00 and earns $2. 00 for every chore she comp
uranmaximum [27]

Taking into account the definition of equation, each girl must complete 8 chores to have the same amount of money.

Definition of equation

An equation is the equality existing between two algebraic expressions connected through the equals sign in which one or more unknown values, called unknowns, appear in addition to certain known data.

Each equation has two members, and these are separated by using the equal sign (=).

Each member is made up of terms.

The unknowns, that is, the values to be found, are represented by letters.

The equality between the two algebraic expressions is only verified or true for certain values of the unknown.

Amount of chores

To find the amount of chores in this case, in first place you know Jennifer has $25.00 and earns $0.50 for every chore she completes. The money that Jennifer saves is expressed as: 25 + 0.50x, being x the amount of chores that Jennifer sells.

On the other side, Amaya has $13.00 and earns $2.00 for every chore she completes. The money that Amaya saves is expressed as: 13 + 2x, being x the amount of chores that Amaya sells.

They have the same amount of money, then it is expressed by the equation:

25 + 0.50x= 13 + 2x

Taking into account that:

 • When a value you are adding is passed to another side of the equation, this value will be passed by subtracting.
 • If a value you are subtracting is passed to the other side of the equation, this value will be passed adding.
 • When a value you are dividing goes to another side of the equation, it will be multiplied.
 • If a value is multiplying it passes to the other side of the equation, then it will pass dividing.

The equation is solved as:

25 -13= 2x - 0.50x

12= 1.5x

12÷ 1.5= x

8=x

Finally, each girl must complete 8 chores to have the same amount of money.

Suppose that prolog facts are used to define the predicates mother(m, y) and father(f, x), which represent that m is the mother
erastova [34]

Prolog languages are logics that are used when creating programs that require artificial intelligence.

The prolog rule to define the predicate grandfather(x, y) is grandfather(X,Y) :- mother(M,Y), father(X,M); father(F,Y), father(X,F)

How to determine the prolog rule

From the question, we have the following definitions:

 • mother(m, y): m is the mother of y
 • father(f, x): f is the father of x

For x to be the grandfather of y, then either of the following definitions must be true

 • m is the mother of y, and x is the father of m
 • f is the father of y, and x is the father of f

Using the above highlights, the prolog rule would be

grandfather(X,Y) :-

mother(M,Y), father(X,M);

father(F,Y), father(X,F)
