Mathematics

Answer:

The formula to get the circumference of a circle is C=2*\pi * r but in this case we see that a diameter is being used therefore we can get rid of the 2 and the r because that is what the diameter and just replace d into there like this C=d*\pi.

We can then input the value and we get that C=5*\pi which then just narrows down to C=15.708.

What are two different methods you can use to figure out what 34% of 120 is? (Explain both methods and show your setup of each)
frosja888 [35]
You can use the proportion <u />\frac{is}{of} or \frac{part}{whole} = \frac{percent}{100}, where you fill in what you know, crossmulitply, and solve for x. You can also write it as an equation, where of=mulitply and is=equal to, and the percent is expressed as a decimal. Your two different equations would be .34x120=x and \frac{x}{120}=\frac{34}{100}

Evaluate
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

  -1

Step-by-step explanation:

In many cases, the simplified expression is not undefined at the point of interest.

  \dfrac{\left(\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x}}-1\right)}{\sqrt{x}-1}=\dfrac{\left(\dfrac{1-\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x}}\right)}{\sqrt{x}-1}=\dfrac{-1}{\sqrt{x}}

This can be evaluated at x=1:

  -1/√1 = -1

Then, the limit is ...

  \boxed{\lim\limits_{x\to 1}\dfrac{\left(\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{x}}-1\right)}{\sqrt{x}-1}=-1}

__

A graph confirms this conclusion.
