Part 1. Using the two functions listed below, insert numbers in place of the letters a, b, c, and d so that f(x) and g(x) are in

verses. f(x)= x+a b g(x)=cx−d Part 2. Show your work to prove that the inverse of f(x) is g(x). Part 3. Show your work to evaluate g(f(x)). Part 4. Graph your two functions on a coordinate plane. Include a table of values for each function. Include five values for each function. Graph the line y = x on the same graph. Task 2 Part 1. Create two radical equations: one that has an extraneous solution, and one that does not have an extraneous solution. Use the equation below as a model: a√x+b+c=d Use a constant in place of each variable a, b, c, and d. You can use positive and negative constants in your equation. Part 2. Show your work in solving the equation. Include the work to check your solution and show that your solution is extraneous. Part 3. Explain why the first equation has an extraneous solution and the second does not.

There is no b unfortunately

Find inverse of x+a

  • x+a=y

interchAnge

  • y+a=x
  • y=x-a

Inverse is

  • f^{-1}x=x-a

Now

  • x-a=cx-d
  • x-cx=a-d
  • x(1-c)=a-d
  • x=a-d/1-c

So

You can have any number according to this but

  • c must not be 1
  • a and d must not be equal .
  • All three should belongs to integers set

Note:-

As there is no b given in question (May be missed in typing) Part-2 's equation can't be executed and part 3 also

Answer:

x=\sqrt6\\y=\sqrt{12}

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that since angles in a triangle add up to 180º, the remaining angle must be 45º.

So the side with length x must be equal to the side with length \sqrt6. That is:

x=\sqrt6

Now, by Pythagoras:

y=\sqrt{(\sqrt6)^2+(\sqrt6)^2}\\=\sqrt{6+6}\\=\sqrt{12}
