Answer:

liquid turns into vapor when the liquid molecules achieves the energy to break down the form or when gets highly excited. The temp required for this is called latent heat of vaporization. As the liquid molecules attain this energy through heat it suddenly changes form into vapor , and when the heat is continued , molecule after molecule receives this energy and changes to vapor .So if you continue heating the liquid all the liquid will change form to vapor state leaving residue , ie the dissolved particles .

Definition of power is the amount of work done per unit of time:
P=\frac{W}{t}
We need to calculate the work done by Jill.
Work is defined as the force acting along the path:
W=F\cdot h
In this case, Jill is working against the force of gravity along the path of 10 meters:
W=mgh=12\cdot9.81\cdot 10=1177.2 J
Now we can calculate the power:
P=\frac{1177.2}{5}= 235.44 W

Hydrostatic equilibrium in the Sun means that Choose one: A. energy produced in the core per unit time equals energy emitted at
kati45 [8]

Answer: Hydrostatic equilibrium in the Sun means that pressure balances the weight of overlying layers.

Explanation: To find the answer, we have to know more about the Hydrostatic equilibrium in sun.

What is Hydrostatic equilibrium in sun?

 • Hydrostatic equilibrium in sun means that, the sun is neither expanding not contracting.
 • We can say that the forces that control the sun are precisely balanced.
 • The structure of the sun is in such a way that it can balance the pressure outward and the force of gravity inward.
 • This balance is known as hydrostatic equilibrium.

Thus, we can conclude that, the Hydrostatic equilibrium in the Sun means that pressure balances the weight of overlying layers.

A driver of a car traveling at 15.0 m/s applies the brakes, causing a uni- form acceleration of −2.0 m/s2 . How long does it tak
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

It takes the car 2.5 s to slow down to a final speed of 10.0 m/s.

The car has moved 31.25 m during the braking period.

Explanation:

Assuming that motion is a straight line and knowing that the accelaration is a constant (-2.0 m/s²), these equations apply:

v(t) = v0 +a*t

X(t) = X0 + v0*t + 1/2*a*t²

where:

v(t) = velocity at time "t".

v0 = initial velocity.

a = acceleration.

t = time.

X(t) = position at time "t"

X0 = initial position

Given data:

v0 = 15.0 m/s

a = 2.0 m/s²

v(t) = 10.0 m/s

We need to find "t" at which the speed is 10 m/s.

From the equation of velocity above:

v(t) = v0 + a*t

solving the equation for "t"

v(t) - v0 = a*t

(v(t) - v0)/a = t

(10 m/s - 15 m/s) / (-2m/s²) = t

2.5 s = t

Now that we know how long it takes to slow down to a speed of 10 m/s, we can calculate how far has the car moved in that period using the equation for position at a given time:

X(t) = X0 + v0*t + 1/2*a*t²

Since we only want to know how many meters has the car moved during 2.5 s with an acceleration of -2m/s², we can make X0(initial position) = 0.

Then:

X(2.5 s) = 0 m + 15 m/s * 2.5 s + 1/2 * (-2m/s²)* (2.5 s)²

X(2.5 s) = 37.5 m + (-6.25 m) = 31.25 m

As light slows down, it bends or refracts. The index of refraction helps predict the amount of bending. How are the speed of lig
Eduardwww [97]
When light changes the medium it travels through it also changes speed. The speed in medium is given by formula:
v_{medium} = \frac{c}{ n_{medium} }

Rearranging formual gives:
n_{medium} = \frac{c}{ v_{medium} }

From this formula we can make conclusion that index of refraction is inversely proportional to speed of light in medium. This means that greater speed gives smaller index of refraction.
