When played without using fingers, it produces the sound of the pitch a (440 Hz). You should shorten it to play the note c at a distance of 2.6 cm (523 Hz).

<h3>What is the frequency of the sound?</h3>

A sound pressure wave's frequency, also known as pitch, is the number of times it repeats itself every second.

Speed of wave propagation is directly proportional to the square root of the tension of the string and inversely proportional to the square root of linear density

\rm v = \sqrt{\frac{T}{u}}

Speed of the wave is the product of the frequency and the wavelength. The fundamental frequency wavelength is two times the string length.

f= 2L

V= f × λ

440×2×0.16 = 523×2L

L = 0.134 m

L = 13.4 cm

The string length for playing note C  will be 13.4 cm

The distance up to which hand is to be put so that the C note will play;

L=16- 13.4

L= 2.6 cm

Hence,at a distance  of  2.6 cm you should shorten it to play the note c (523 hz).

Baseball homerun hitters like to play in Denver, but<br> curveballpitchers do not. Why?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

Because of height and lower atmospheric pressure.

Explanation:

Atmospheric pressure affects aerodynamic drag, lower pressure means less drag. At the altitude of Denver the air has lower pressure, this allows baseball players to hit balls further away.

Another aerodynamic effect is the Magnus effect. This effect causes spinning objects to curve their flightpath, which is what curveball pitchers do. A lower atmospheric pressure decreases the curving of the ball's trajectory.

You need to produce a solenoid that has an inductance of 2.47 μh . you construct the solenoid by uniformly winding 1.15 m of thi
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer:

0.0170m or 1.70cm

Explanation:

L=(μ₀*N^2*A)/(l)

N=x/2*pi*r so r=x/2*pi*N

A=pi*r^2=(pi*x^2)/(4*pi^2*N^2)

L=(μ₀*N^2*A)/(l)=(μ₀*N^2*pi*x^2)/(4*pi^2*N^2*l)=(μ₀*x^2)/(4*pi*l)

l=(μ₀*x^2)/4*pi*L)=[(4*10^-7)*(1.15m)/4*pi*2.47*10^-6H)=0.0170m or 1.70cm

Hope this helps. Any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks!
