Dalton's theory using water as an example

Physics
1 answer:
Usimov [2.4K]2 years ago

Dalton's <em>first</em> theory states, that all matter is made up of atoms (which cannot be divided). Continuing with this theory in mind, Dalton also states that all atoms of an element are identical<em> </em>in MASS and PROPERTIES. Lastly, compounds are combinations of TWO or MORE <em>different </em>types of atoms.

With Dalton's reasoning, water contains two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen; All water molecules are exactly like every other water molecule, and have the same 2:1 ratio.

Hope this helps!

A 21.3 A current flows in a long, straight wire. Find the strength of the resulting magnetic field at a distance of 45.7 cm from
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

The magnetic field strength due to current flowing in the wire is9.322 x 10⁻⁶ T.

Explanation:

Given;

electric current, I = 21.3 A

distance of the magnetic field from the wire, R = 45.7 cm = 0.457 m

The strength of the resulting magnetic field at the given distance is calculated as;

B = \frac{\mu_o I}{2\pi R}

Where;

μ₀ is permeability of free space = 4π x 10⁻⁷ T.m/A

B = \frac{\mu_o I}{2\pi R}\\\\B = \frac{4\pi*10^{-7} *21.3}{2\pi(0.457)}\\\\B = 9.322 *10^{-6} \ T

Therefore, the magnetic field strength due to current flowing in the wire is 9.322 x 10⁻⁶ T.

In a periodic table a set of properties repeats from?
bogdanovich [222]

Answer;

Row to row

In a periodic table a set of properties repeats from row to row

Explanation;

In a periodic table, a set of properties repeats from row to row. This is called the periodic law. In the periodic table, the rows are called periods and the columns are called groups.

The modern periodic table is organized by increasing atomic number. The atomic mass unit is based on 1/12th the mass of a carbon-12 atom.

The atomic mass of an element is the weighted average of the masses of an element’s isotopes.
