(m₂) is the mass T= 3 x 10⁻¹ kg

(u₂) is the initial velocity of T =  1.4 m/s

(v) is the velocity after collision =.?

According to the law of conservation of momentum;

Momentum before collision =Momentum after collision

\rm  m_1u_1 + m_2u_2 = v(m_1 + m_2)\\\\ 3 \times 10^{-1} \times 1.4 + 0.2 \times 0 = v(0.3+0.2) \\\\ 0.5v=0.42 \\\\ v= 0.84 \ m/sec

Hence, the velocity of the trolleys after the collision will be 0.84 m/sec.
