The scalar reading during the process is 170. 5 Newton

<h3>How to determine the scalar reading</h3>

force = mass × acceleration

Given the mass = 55kg

In finding the acceleration, use the first equation of motion

v = u + at

u = 0

t = 2s

v = 6.5 m/s

Substitute the values

6.5 = 0 + 2a, make 'a' the subject

a = 6. 5÷ 2 = 3. 1 m/s²

Substitute the value of 'm' and 'a' in the original equation

F = 55× 3.1 = 170. 5 Newton

Hence, the scalar reading during the process is 170. 5 Newton

A 75 cm straight wire moves straight up through a 0.53 T magnetic field with a velocity of 16 m/s. What is the induced emf in th
Luden [163]

Answer:

Induced emf of the wire is 6.36 Volts.

Explanation:

It is given that,

Length of the wire, l = 75 cm = 0.75 m

Magnetic field, B = 0.53 T

Velocity, v = 16 m/s

The wire is moving straight up in the magnetic field. So, an emf is induced in the wire. It is given by :

\epsilon=Blv

\epsilon=0.53\ T\times 0.75\ m\times 16\ m/s

\epsilon=6.36\ V

So, the induced emf of the wire is 6.36 V. Hence, the correct option is (b) "6.36 V".

You are sitting 3 m away from you friend who is watching a cartoon on his phone. How will the sound itensity change if your frie
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

Decreases by $3.6 \times 10^{-3}$ times

Explanation:

The intensity of a sound is defined as the energy of the sound that is flowing in an unit time through the unit area which is in the direction that is perpendicular to the direction of the sound waves movement.

The intensity of energy is described by the inverse square law. It states that the intensity varies inversely with the distance square of the distance.

In other words, the sound intensity decreases as inversely proportional to the squared of the distance.  i.e. $\frac{1}{r^2}$

In the context when the distance was 3 m, the intensity of the sound was = $\frac{1}{9}$

But when the distance became 6 cm or 0.06 m, the sound intensity decreases by =  $\frac{1}{0.06^2}$

                       = $3.6 \times 10^{-3}$ times

binder: Liquid substance used in paint and other media to bind particles of pigment together.

fresco: Where pigments are mixed with water and then applied to a plaster support, usually a wall or a ceiling.

gouache: A type of watercolor in which white pigment is added creating a duller effect, and a tinted feel.

oil: Painting medium where pigments are binded using oils, usually linseed oil.

painting media: Material made of three components; pigment,vehicle, and binder

pigment: Ground up solids that contain color the color in paint.

tempera: A water based painting medium made with egg yolk, often used to paint frescos and panels.

vehicle: Adjusts the viscosity of the paint.
