The work done by the force on the box 588 Joule.

What is Potential energy ?

It is the energy that is stored in an object due to its position relative to some zero position.

According to the question,

Given mass of the box (m) = 6.0 kg

Given displacement of the box = 10.00 m

Hence , the height of the box (h) = 10.00 m

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

Since ,

The upward force was applied to the box, the box moves up to the height.

Therefore, the work done by the ball is the potential energy gained by the ball.

By using the formula of potential energy

P.E. = mgh

= 6 × 9.8 × 10 Joule = 588 Joule

As we know .

Work done (W) = Potential energy (P.E.)

Work done (W) = 588 Joule

Thus, 588 Joule is the work done by the force on the box.

A wheel is rotating freely at angular speed 420 rev/min on a shaft whose rotational inertia is negligible. A second wheel, initi
Mashcka [7]

Answer:60 rev/min

Explanation:

Given

angular speed of first shaft \omega _1=420\ rev/min

Moment of inertia of second shaft is seven times times the rotational speed of the first i.e. If I is the moment of inertia of first wheel so moment of inertia of second is 7 I

As there is no external torque therefore angular momentum is conserved

L_1=L_2

I_1\omega _1=I_2\omega _2

I\times (420)=7 I\times (\omega _2)

\omega _2=\frac{420}{7}

\omega _2=60\ rev/min

How can force-time and force-displacement graphs be used to find the impulse or work done?
balandron [24]

Answer:

A. Area under force-time graph & Area under force-displacement graph

Explanation:

To find the impulse or work done the area under force-time graph and area under force-displacement graph will give us these respective values.

Impulse = Force x time

Work done = Force x displacement

When we plot a graph of force and time, the area under it is the impulse.

When a graph of force and displacement is plotted, the area under is the work done.
