According to law of reflection, the barber should place one mirror in front of the chair and two mirrors on the left and right sides of the chair perpendicular to the front mirror. According to law of shadows, the bulb should be placed above the chair.

What is the law of refraction?

The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

  • According to the law of reflection, when two mirrors are placed parallel to each other, then infinite images are formed. So if the bulb is placed between two parallel mirrors, then there will be more light.
  • By using the front mirror and the side mirrors, the person can see his hair from all sides.

What is the law of shadow?

The length of the shadow of an opaque substance on the surface decreases as the angle between the blocked light ray and the surface plane increases.

  • According to the law of shadows, when the light falls on an opaque substance perpendicularly, then no shadows are formed. So hairs will be easily visible to the barber.
  • So the light should be placed above the chair.

Learn more about law of reflection.

Velocity of the ball after 3.63 s
MrRa [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

This question is regarding gravity under motion. Then we can use motion equation to find the final velocity .

Inertial velocity is zero when it's release from rest.

V = U+at

V = 0+ 9.8×3.63

V = 35.574 m/s

A 85.0 cm wire of mass 9.40 g is tied at both ends and adjusted to a tension of 39.0 N . When it is vibrating in its second over
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

frequency = 104.80 Hz

wavelength = 0.567 m

frequency = 104.80 Hz

wavelength = 3.27 m

Explanation:

given data

mass m = 9.4 g = 9.4 ×10^{-3} m

length L = 85 cm = 0.85 m

tension  T = 39 N

to find out

frequency and wavelength

solution

first we find frequency for second overtone

f = 3 /2L × √(T/μ)   .............1

put here all value and

here μ = m/L = 9.4 ×10^{-3} / 0.85 = 1.10588 ×10^{-2} kg/m

f = 3 /2(0.85) × √(39/1.10588 ×10^{-2})

f = 104.80 Hz

and

wavelength is 2L/3

wavelength = 2(0.85) / 3

wavelength = 0.567 m

and

frequency = 104.80 Hz

and

wavelength by speed of sound i.e 343 m/s

wavelength = speed / f

wavelength = 343 / 104.80

wavelength = 3.27 m

Which has more momentum, a 2000 lb car moving at 100 km/hr or a 4000 lb truck moving at 50 km/hr ?
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

The truck and car have the same momentum.

Explanation:

m_1 = Mass of car = 2000\ \text{lb}=2000\times0.45359237\ \text{kg}

v_1 = Velocity of car = \dfrac{100}{3.6}\ \text{m/s}

m_2 = Mass of truck = 4000\times0.45359237\ \text{kg}

v_2 = Velocity of truck = \dfrac{50}{3.6}\ \text{m/s}

Momentum of car

p_1=m_1v_1\\\Rightarrow p_1=2000\times0.45359237\times \dfrac{100}{3.6}\\\Rightarrow p_1=25199.58\ \text{kg m/s}

Momentum of the truck

p_2=m_2v_2\\\Rightarrow p_2=4000\times0.45359237\times \dfrac{50}{3.6}\\\Rightarrow p_2=25199.58\ \text{kg m/s}

Both the truck and car have the same momentum of 25199.58\ \text{kg m/s}.

X-rays take pictures of ______.
raketka [301]

The answer - all of the above.

X -rays are applied in many ways and for various purposes in every day life. They are defined as powerful waves of electromagnetic energy. They are able to penetrate most materials both organic and inorganic.

Their ability to penetrate organic material has made them especially useful in medicine where they can penetrate the body and reveal internal structures such as bones and organs.

In the airports, they are used for security purposes to check in luggage  bags for prohibited or dangerous items.

In  art, they are widely used by authenticators check for types of paper, materials, changes of composition and other clues to help establish authenticity of art pieces.
