The total time the ball is in the air is 1.47 s and the maximum horizontal distance covered is 58.7 m.

<h3>Time of motion of the ball</h3>

The time of motion of the ball is calculated as follows;

h = vt + ¹/₂gt²

55 = (50sin37)t + ¹/₂(9.8)t²

55 = 30.1t + 4.9t²

4.9t² + 30.1t - 55 = 0

Solve using formula method;

t = 1.47 s

<h3>Horizontal distance of the ball</h3>

X = vxt

where;

  • vx is the horizontal velocity
  • t is time of motion

X = (50 x cos37) x 1.47

X = 58.7 m

A ball is thrown downward from the top of a building with an initial speed of 25 m/s.
Bumek [7]

Answer:

h = 69.6 m

Explanation:

Data:

  • Vo = 25 m/s
  • t = 2.0 s
  • g = 9.8 m/s²
  • h = ?

Formula:

  • \boxed{\bold{h=V_{0}*t+\frac{g*(t)^{2}}{2}}}

Replace and solve:

  • \boxed{\bold{h=25\frac{m}{s}*2.0\ s+\frac{9.8\frac{m}{s^{2}}*(2.0\ s)^{2}}{2}}}
  • \boxed{\bold{h=50\frac{m}{s^{2}}+\frac{9.8\frac{m}{s^{2}}*4\ s^{2}}{2}}}
  • \boxed{\bold{h=50\ m+\frac{39.2\ m}{2}}}
  • \boxed{\bold{h=50\ m+19.6\ m}}
  • \boxed{\boxed{\bold{h=69.6\ m}}}

The building has a height of <u>69.6 meters.</u>

Two blocks, joined by a string, have masses of 6.0 kg and 9.0 kg. They rest on a frictionless horizontal surface. A 2nd string,
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

Explanation:

30 N force is pulling total mass of 15 kg , so acceleration in the system of masses

= 30 / 15

= 2 m / s²

Let us now consider forces acting on 9 kg . 30 N is pulling it in forward direction . Tension T in the string attached to it is pulling it in reverse direction

so net force on it

30 - T

Applying Newton's law of motion on it

30 - T = mass x acceleration

30 - T = 9  x 2

30 - 18 = T

T = 12 N

A marble is thrown horizontally with a speed of 7 m/s. When the marble lands, it hastraveled a horizontal displacement of 30 m.
Alex Ar [27]

Answer:

t = 4.28 s

Explanation:

The horizontal speed of a marble = 7 m/s

The horizontal displacement covered by the marble = 30 m

We need to find the time for which the marble is in air. Let the time is t. Using the formula for speed to find it as follows :

s=\dfrac{d}{t}\\\\t=\dfrac{d}{s}\\\\t=\dfrac{30\ m}{7\ m/s}\\\\=4.28\ s

So, it will in the air for 4.28 s.

A very small source of light that radiates uniformly in all directions produces an electric field amplitude of 8.45 V/m at a poi
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

4.43 kW

Explanation:

Since Intensity I = P/A = E²/2cμ₀ where P = Power, A = Area = 4πr² where r = distance from source = 61 m and E = electric field amplitude = 8.45 V/m.

P = E²A/2cμ₀ = E²4πr²/2cμ₀ = 2πE²r²/cμ₀

  = 2π(8.45 V/m)²(61 m)²/3 × 10⁸ m/s × 4π × 10⁻⁷ Tm/A

  = 4428.1 W

  = 4.4281 kW ≅ 4.43 kW
