The equation that represents the given data is  \RM \\f(x) = -\sqrt[3]{-x} , Option D is the correct answer.

<h3>What is a Function ?</h3>

It is a statement where two variables , one dependent and one independent are related.

It is given that

a cube root function goes through (8, 2), has an inflection point at (0, negative 1), and goes through (8, negative 3).

The equation given in the options are

\rm f(x) = -\sqrt[3]{x} \\f(x) = -\sqrt[3]{x-1} \\f(x ) =-\sqrt[3]{-x} -1 \\f(x) = -\sqrt[3]{-x}

The function goes through (8,2)

Substituting the values

f(x) = -2

f(x) = \sqrt[3]{7}

f(x) = -3

f(x) = 2

The equation that represents the given data is

\RM \\f(x) = -\sqrt[3]{-x} , Option D is the correct answer.

Determine the 28th term of the sequence -242, -251, -260
maxonik [38]
We can figure this out using the explicit formula.
f(n)=f(1)+d(n-1)
n represents the term we are looking for.f(1) represents the first term in the sequence, which in this case, is -242.d represents the common difference, which in this case, is -9.

f(n) = -242 + -9(n - 1)
f(n) = -242 - 9n + 9
f(n) = -233 - 9n

Now, we can input 28 for n and solve.

f(28) = -233 - 9(28)
f(28) = -233 - 252
f(28) = -485

The 28th term of the sequence is -485.

Find the surface area of the cube. 5 ft S.A. = [?] ft? 5 ft A Hint: A cube has 6 square faces. Find the area of one face, then m
atroni [7]

First, let's find the area of one face of the cube.

Area = base x height

A = 5 x 5 = 25

There are 6 faces on a cube, so we can multiply the area of one face by 6 to get the total surface area.

SA = 25 x 6 = 150 ft^2

Hope this helps!

How many edges does a polyhedron with 28 faces and 40 vertices have calculator?
emmasim [6.3K]
Hey user!

your answer is here..

we know about EULER'S FORMULA, it is a formula used to verify a polyhedron or to calculate the number of faces, vertices or edges.

Euler's formula = F + V - E = 2

given :-

faces = 28, verticies = 50 and edge = ?

we know that F + V - E = 2

therefore 28 + 40 - E = 2

==> 68 - E = 2

==> - E = 2 - 68

==> - E = - 66

==> E = 66

hence, the number of edges of the polyhedron is 66.

cheers!!
