7.2 percent of the area of the original hexagon was removed

The area of hexagon is the region that lies within the sides of the hexagon. A hexagon is a two-dimensional shape that has 6 sides, 6 angles, and, 9 diagonals, and the sum of its interior angles is 720°

Area of the hexagon = (3√3 s2)/2, where 's' is the length of the side of the hexagon.

Her, We have

\(1-2s=s\sqrt3, 1=2s+s\sqrt3, 1=s(2+\sqrt3), s=\frac{1}{2+\sqrt3}\)

Rationalize the denominator to get \(s=2-\sqrt3\)

The area of the hexagon is  \(\frac{3\sqrt3}{2}\)  and the dodecagon is \(\frac{3s^2\sqrt3}{2}\).

The deleted area is \(s^2=0.072=7.2%\) percent

Formula used:

Area = (3√3 s2)/2

Billy, let's recall what a linear pair of angles is:

• They are formed when two lines intersect.

,

• Two angles are said to be linear if they are adjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines.

,

• The measure of a straight angle is 180 degrees, so a linear pair of angles must add up to 180 degrees.

Upon saying that we have that:

• CAD and DAE are linear pairs

,

• CAD and CAB are linear pairs

,

• DAE and BAE are linear pairs

,

• DAE and DAC are linear pairs

Now, you are ready to select all the options that actually apply.

X^2(x^2+3x+2)plzz help me
agasfer [191]

The zeros for this function are -2, -1 and a double root of 0.

You can find this by first factoring the polynomial on the inside of the parenthesis. Polynomials like this can be factored by looking for two numbers that multiply to the constant (2) and add up to the second coefficient (3). The numbers 2 and 1 satisfy both of those needs and thus can be used as the numbers in a factoring.

x^2(x^2 + 3x + 2)

x^2(x + 2)(x + 1)

Now to find the zeros, we set each part equal to 0. You may want to split the x^2 into two separate x's for this purpose.

(x)(x)(x + 2)(x + 1)

x = 0

x = 0

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

x + 1 = 0

x = -1
