Chemistry

The directions that are likely to result in a warmer earth are the directions 3, 5 and 6.

What is global warming?

The term global warming has to do with the gradual rise in the temperature of the earth as a result of the re-radiation of infrared rays back to the earth. We know that greenhouse gases are able to trap the infrared rays from the sun and reradiate same to the surface of the earth and this ultimately leads to a warmer earth.

As such, if we look at the image closely, we can see that there is a reradiation of the rays to the earth in the directions 3, 5 and 6. It then follows that the directions that are likely to result in a warmer earth are the directions 3, 5 and 6.

Which event occurs after erosion of Earth's surface?
masya89 [10]

Answer: Surface materials breaks down into smaller pieces.

Explanation:

Erosion is the geological process in which the topmost layer of the soil is worn away and transported by natural forces such as wind or water. A process which resembles erosion is weathering, which lead to breaking down or dissolution of rocks, but does not involve movement of the rock or soil materials.

After erosion the layers at the top of the soil are also broken down to smaller bits by factors such as water and winds.

Determine the electron-group arrangement, molecular shape, and ideal bond angle(s) for each of the following:
antoniya [11.8K]

The electron group arrangement of PH₃ is tetrahedral. The molecular shape is a Trigonal pyramid, and the bond angle is 93°.

What is the bond angle?

The angle between the atoms in a compound is known as the bond angle. The degree of the binding angle is specified. There is also the bond length. It is the separation between the two atoms' nuclei.

The bond angle between the atoms of phosphine is 93°. It has one lone pair. The central atom is covered with 4 atoms.

Thus, the electron-group arrangement of phosphine is tetrahedral. The molecular geometry or shape is a trigonal pyramid. The bond angle is 93°.
