Mass of solute that is KCl given as=14.0 g

Mass of the solution=Volume \times density

Mass of the solution=78 mL\times 1g cm^{-3}

Mass of the solution=78 g

weight/weight % of the solute=\frac{Mass of the solute}{Mass of the solution}\times 100

weight/weight % of the solute that is KCl=\frac{14}{78}\times 100

weight/weight % of the solute that is KCl=17.9

So the weight/weight % of the solute that is KCl found to be 17.9 .

A molecular biologist measures the mass of cofactor a in an average yeast cell. the mass is 41.5 pg . what is the total mass in
Hitman42 [59]
The unit pg stands for pictogram. It is one-trillionth of a gram. Because of the very small mass, it is expressed in the prefix form of the base units for convenience. Now, the mass of cofactor a is 41.5 pg per cell. Since there are a total of 105 cells, the total mass would be:

Total mass = 105 cells * 41.5 pg/cell = 4,357.5 pg

You have dissolved 10 g sodium oxide in 200 ml water.calculate concentration of the solution
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

0.85 Molar Na2O

Explanation:

Determine the moles of sodium oxide, Na2O, in 10 grams by dividing by the molar mass of Na2O (61.98 g/mole).

 (10 g Na2O)/(61.98 g/mole) = 0.161 moles Na2O.

Molar is a measure of concentration.  It is defined as moles/liter.  A 1 M  solution contains 1 mole of solute per liter of solvent.  [200 ml water = 0.2 Liters water.]

In this case, we have 0.161 moles Na2O in 0.200 L of solvent.

 (0.161 moles Na2O)/(0.200 L) = 0.85 Molar Na2O
