Write an equation of the line that passes through the points (-2,-7) and (0,-4).
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

( x_{1} , y_{1} )

( x_{2} , y_{2} )

m = \frac{y_{2} -y_{1} }{x_{2} -x_{1} }

y - y_{1} = m( x - x_{1} ) point - slope form of a line.

y = mx + b slope- intercept form of a line.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
( - 2, - 7 )
( 0, - 4 )
m = \frac{- 4 - (-7)}{0 - (- 2)} = \frac{3}{2}
y - ( - 4 ) = \frac{3}{2} ( x - 0 )
y + 4 = \frac{3}{2} x
<em>y = </em>\frac{3}{2}<em> x - 4</em> slope- intercept form
<em>3x - 2y = 8</em> standard form
Solve for y in the equation 4y+15=-5y+9<br> a)-6<br> b) -2/3<br> c)2/3<br> d)6
galina1969 [7]
First off, you need to have your ys on the same side. Here's how to do it:
4y + 15 = -5y + 9
4y + 5y = 9 - 15 (once a number goes to the other side, it changes its sign)
9y = -6
y = -6/9
y = -2/3
The correct answer is B. -2/3
Can someone please answer. There is one question. There a picture. Thank you!
Anuta_ua [19.1K]
Ok so you need the surface area formula of a cone.
A = πrl +  πr∧2
where π = 3.14 (pi)
           r = half of the diameter (18/2 = 9)
           l = slant hight ( 22 )
Slot this into the equation  A =  (3.14 [ rounded] )(9)(22) + (3.14 [ rounded] )(9)∧2 = 876.06 this is due to the rounded pi the answer is 876.5 i.e the third.
Hope this helps :D.
What value of n solves the equation <br><br> 3n=1/81<br><br> N=___
Radda [10]
3n = 1/81; divide both sides by 3 to isolate n:
3n/3 = 1/81 divided by 3. Remember that when you divide, you use the reciprocal and multiply instead!!
n = 1/81(1/3) = 1/243. Now plug 1/243 back in for n, and 3/243 is equivalent to 1/81
