The power required from a 75-kg patient when the treadmill is sloping at required speed is 131.58 W.

<h3>Parallel force on the patient</h3>

The parallel force on the patient is calculated as follows;

F = mg sinθ

F = (75 x 9.8) x sin(12)

F = 152.82 N

<h3>Average power required </h3>

P = FV

where;

  • V is speed  = 3.1 km/h = 3.1/3.6 = 0.861 m/s

F = 152.82 x 0.861

F = 131.58 W

Thus, the power required from a 75-kg patient when the treadmill is sloping at required speed is 131.58 W.

Jupiter's moon Io has active volcanoes (in fact, it is the most volcanically active body in the solar system) that eject materia
melisa1 [442]

Answer:

H_2 = 91.55 km

Explanation:

Gravity on the surface of planet is given as

g = \frac{GM}{R^2}

as we know that

M = 8.93 \times 10^{22} kg

R = 1821 km

now gravity on the planet is

g = \frac{(6.67 \times 10^{-11})(8.93 \times 10^{22})}{(1821 \times 10^3)^}

so we have

g = 1.8 m/s^2

now we know that

H_{max} = \frac{v^2}{2g}

so we will say

\frac{H_1}{H_2} = \frac{g_2}{g_1}

\frac{500}{H_2} = \frac{9.81}{1.8}

H_2 = 91.55 km

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! CORRECT ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!
Montano1993 [528]

They literally gave you the answer but okay.

Correct answer should be: B. 490 Meters

1/2 x 9.8 x 10^2

Plug them in a calculator and you get <u>490 meters. </u>

<u>G </u>= Gravity which is 9.8 m/s^2

<u>T</u>= Time

Which characteristics do temperate marine and temperate continental climates have in common? Check all that apply.
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

moderate amount of precipitation

two seasons with temperature differences

Explanation:

Temperate marine climates is also known as oceanic climate and areas who experience this climate are closer to oceans. There is relative precipitation all round the year due to the close proximity to the water body and have the hot and cold season.

The temperate continental climate also has two season and relative rainfall but found in the areas along the Northern hemispheres.

Both climates have moderate amount of precipitation and two seasons with temperature differences.

Spymaster Tim, flying a constant vh = 193.6 km/hr horizontally in a low-flying helicopter, wants to drop secret documents into h
Vinvika [58]

Answer:

θ = 51.21°

Explanation:

Vh= 193.6 km/h

Va= 141.7 km/hr

Relative velocity ,Vr= 193.6 - 141.7 = 51.9 km/hr

Time taken to cover 71.3 m

h=\dfrac{1}{2}gt^2

71.3=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 9.81\times t^2

t= 3.81 s

t= 0.00105 hr

So the horizontal distance x

x= Vr .t

x= 51.9 x 0.00105  km

x=0.0549 m

x= 54.96 m

Lets take angle is θ

tan θ = h/x

tan θ = 71.3/54.96

θ = 51.21°
