The pOH refers to the negative logarithm of the hydroxide concentration.

What is the pOH?

The term pOH refers to the negative logarithm of the hydroxide concentration. Now we know that there is a relation that states that;

[H+] [OH-] = 1 * 10^-14

We shall now apply this relation in each case as follows;

[OH-] = 1 * 10^-14/1 x 10-12

[OH-] = 1 * 10^-2

pOH = 2

2. pOH = -log( 1 x 10-6 M) = 6

3. [OH-] = 1 * 10^-14/ 1 x 10-1

[OH-] = 1 * 10^-13

pOH = 13

4. [OH-] = 1 * 10^-14/ 1 x 10-4

[OH-] = 1 * 10^-10

pOH = 10

5. pOH = -log( 1 x 10-7) = 7

When a food label reads low-calorie, the product contains _______ calories or less per serving.
dusya [7]

When a food label reads low-calorie, the product contains 40 calories or less per serving.

A calorie is a unit of energy. For historical reasons, two main definitions of "calorie" are widely used. A staple calorie, food calorie, or kilogram calorie was originally defined as the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one kilogram of water by one degree Celsius. Wikipedia

The amount of energy in food and drink is expressed in calories. When we eat or drink more calories than we consume, our bodies store the excess as body fat. If this continues, it can lead to weight gain over time.

A flask that weighs 450 g is filled with 145 ml of benzene. The weight of the flask and benzene is found to be 754 g. From this
vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

Density, d=2.09\ g/cm^3

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass of a flask is 450 g

Volume of benzene added to the flask is 145 mL or 145 cm³

The weight of the flask and benzene is found to be 754 g.

We need to find the density of the benzene.

Weight of benzene added = total weight of flask and benzene-mass of flask

m = 754 g - 450 g

m = 304 g

Density = mass/volume

So,

d=\dfrac{304\ g}{145\ cm^3}\\\\d=2.09\ g/cm^3

So, the density of the benzene is 2.09\ g/cm^3.
