The effective lever arm will be enhanced if we utilize a big diameter string.

<h3>What is Lever Arm?</h3>

The perpendicular distance from the axis of rotation to the force's line of action is specified as the lever arm.

When a big diameter string is utilized, the effect of the diameter on the string of the lever arm will be enhanced.

This is due to the reason that if the radius of the pulley is R and the radius of the string is r, then the effective lever arm becomes R+r.

If the radius,r of the string is very minute such that its addition to the radius of the pulley, R will hardly make a change to the effective lever arm, then it is avoided. However, if the radius of the string is a big number then it can not be avoided as it can make significant errors in the calculation of the effective lever arm.

Hence, The effective lever arm will be enhanced if we utilize a big diameter string.

Which of the following is an example of conduction?
Jet001 [13]

the answer was C because Heat is transferred by conduction when a hot object is in direct contact with a cold object. So, a metal spoon becoming warm when placed in a cup of hot tea is an example of conduction because the spoon gains heat by being in direct contact with the hot tea.

Tripling the displacement from equilibrium of an object in simple harmonic motion will change the magnitude of the object’s maxi
SVEN [57.7K]
A (max)= A (2pi/T)
a (max)= maximum acceleration
A= amplitude
T= periodic time

by definition, amplitude is the displacement from equillibrium point.

we see that maximum acceleration is directly proportional to the amplitude. so tripling the amplitude will triple the maximum acceleration.

A simple, direct-current electrical circuit is shown below.
kap26 [50]

The direction of current flow is given by an arrow in the electrical circuit.

Several categories are used to categorise electrical circuits. One-way current only flows through a direct-current circuit. As with most residential circuits, an alternating-current circuit is a channel for transmitting electrical current that pulses back and forth numerous times each second.

A battery or generator, a device that provides energy to the charged particles that make up the current, a device that uses current, such as a lamp, an electric motor, or a computer, and the connecting wires or transmission lines make up an electrical circuit.

A source of electrical power, two wires that can transmit current, and a light bulb make up an electrical circuit. Both wires have one end connected to a cell terminal and the other end connected to a light bulb. When the light bulb is turned off, the electrical circuit is disrupted.

A 47.4 kg student runs down the sidewalk and jumps with a horizontal speed of 42 m/s onto a stationary skateboard
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

3 kg

Explanation:

Momentum before = momentum after

m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ = m₁v₁ + m₂v₂

After jumping on the skateboard, the student and the skateboard have the same velocity, so v₁ = v₂.

m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ = (m₁ + m₂) v

(47.4 kg) (4.2 m/s) + m (0 m/s) = (47.4 kg + m) (3.95 m/s)

m = 3 kg
