The dog runs 300240 miles.

What is the rate?

Rate refers to the pace at which something happens. We know that the easiest way to obtain the rate is by the use of proportion. Now we have been told that the dog is able to run 500 miles in 12 seconds.

If the dog runs 500 miles in 12 seconds

The dog runs x miles in 1 second

x = 500 * 1/12

x = 41.7 miles

In two hours we have 2 * 60 * 60 = 7200 seconds

If the dog runs 41.7 miles in 1 second

The dog runs x miles in 7200 seconds

x = 41.7 miles * 7200 seconds/ 1 second

x = 300240 miles

timurjin [86]

Answer:

a) t = 4.14 s

b) Speed with which it hits the ground = 40.58 m/s

Explanation:

Using the equations of motion,

g = 9.8 m/s², y = H = 84 m,

Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s,

final velocity, v = ?

Total Time of fall, t = ?

a) y = ut + gt²/2

84 = 0 + 9.8t²/2

4.9t² = 84

t² = 84/4.9

t = 4.14 s

b) v = u + gt

v = 0 + (9.8 × 4.14)

v = 40.58 m/s

LekaFEV [45]
I think the correct answer would be one half the wavelength. Waves would "feel bottom" when the water is at the depth of 0.5 of the wavelength. "Feel bottom" is a term used to describe that the depth of water affects the wave properties. Hope this answers the question.
