The organic product formed when the formic acid and 2-methyl-1-propanol compounds undergo a substitution reaction is 2-methylpropyl Methanoate.

What is Substitution reaction?

Substitution reaction is a reaction in which one group substitute the functional group of another organic compound or it can also be defined as a reaction that involves the replacement of one atom or group of atoms of a compound with another atom or group of atom.

Types of Substitution reaction

Substitution Reactions are basically of two types:

nucleophilic reaction and electrophilic reactions. These two types of substitution reactions differ in the types of atom that is attached to its original molecule. In the nucleophilic reactions, the atom is electron-rich species, on the other hand, in the electrophilic reaction, the atom is an electron-deficient species.

When the formic acid and 2-methyl-1-propanol compounds undergo a substitution reaction, esterification take place. Therefore, the product formed is an ester.

Thus we found that the organic product formed when the formic acid and 2-methyl-1-propanol compounds undergo a substitution reaction is 2-methylpropyl Methanoate.

As the pressure on the surface of a liquid decreases, the temperature at which the liquid will boil
ankoles [38]

Answer: option (1) decreases.

Explanation:

May be you have experienced that: when you go to the beach, where the atmposhpere pressure is greater than the atmosphere pressure in places that are at higher altitudes, the water takes longer to boil. That is because the boiling temperature is greater, and you need more total heat (more time) to permit the liquid to reach that temperature.

The reason why that happens is because substances boil when the vapor pressure (the pressure of the particles of vapor over the liquid) equals the atmosphere pressure. So, when the atmposhere pressure increases, the temperature at which the vapor pressure reaches the atmosphere pressure also increases, and when the atmosphere pressure decreases, the temperature at which the vapor pressure reaches the atmosphere pressure decreases.

The specific heat capacity of lead is 0.13 J/g-K. How much heat (in J) is required to raise the temperature of 15 g of lead from
Alona [7]

Answer:

c. 29 J

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

 • Specific heat capacity of Pb (c): 0.13 J/g.K (= 0.13 J/g.°C)
 • Mass of Pb (m): 15 g
 • Initial temperature: 22 °C
 • Final temperature: 37 °C

Step 2: Calculate the temperature change

ΔT = 37 °C - 22 °C = 15 °C

Step 3: Calculate the heat (Q) required to raise the temperature of the lead piece

We will use the following expression.

Q = c × m × ΔT

Q = 0.13 J/g.°C × 15 g × 15 °C = 29 J

Oduvanchick [21]

Answer:

The all 4 the given statements are part of Dalton's atomic theory.

Explanation:

Dalton's postulates or Dalton's atomic theory:

 • Matter is made up of small particles termed as atom.
 • Atoms are indivisible particle.
 • Atoms of different element have different masses and properties.
 • Atoms of the same element have the identical size, mass, and structure.
 • During chemical reaction, rearrangement of atoms takes place.
 • Atoms of different different combines together to form new compounds in simple whole number ratio.
