The most restrict classification of the numbers are given as follows:

 • Natural: 23.
 • Whole: 0.
 • Integer: -15/5 = -3, -1 and -sqrt(49) = -7.
 • Rational: 2.123, 3 and 1/4, 0.4 bar(F), square root of 16/25.
 • Irrational: π, -sqrt(35).

Which numbers are natural?

Natural numbers are positive numbers that do not have a decimal part. Hence among those, the natural numbers is: 23.

Which numbers are whole?

Whole numbers are non-negative numbers that do not have a decimal part. Hence among those, the whole number is: 0.

Which numbers are integers?

Integers are positive or negative numbers that do not have a decimal part, hence, for this problem, the integer numbers are: -15/5 = -3, -1 and -sqrt(49) = -7.

Which numbers are rational?

Fractions and terminating decimal numbers are rational, hence:

2.123, 3 and 1/4, 0.4 bar(F), square root of 16/25.

Which numbers are irrational?

Non-terminating and non-repeating decimals, such as non-exact square roots.

Hence the irrational numbers are:

π, -sqrt(35).

Hi,
The answer is 3/2 or 4
How I got my answer:
Just think that (2x+3) OR (x-4) has to be 0.
Than you can find it out with a simple +/- calculation.
2x+3=0 x-4=0

Equation parallel to y = 3x + 2 and passing through (1, 1)
Kisachek [45]

Answer:

y = 3x - 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = 3x + 2 ← is in slope- intercept form

with slope m = 3

Parallel lines have equal slopes, then

y = 3x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute (1, 1) into the partial equation

1 = 3 + c ⇒ c = 1 - 3 = - 2

y = 3x - 2 ← equation of line
