Chemical energy sources are often portable and provide large amounts of energy. Fossil fuels are one kind of chemical energy sou

rce. Most of the energy we use in the United States is generated by the combustion of fossil fuels. However, fossil fuel combustion adds greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, mostly CO2. One measure of the total amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere each year is called a carbon footprint. Read this article to compare the carbon footprint of an average person in the United States to an average person around the world. Knowing that greenhouse gases are contributing to climate change, how can we reduce our carbon footprint, particularly in the United States? Could hydrogen fuel replace fossil fuels in the future? Why or why not? Should the size of a person’s carbon footprint be limited by law? Why or why not?

Answer:

You can reduce our carbon footprints by using renewable energy,calculate your carbon footprint and make changes,use car less and minimize driving and walk or cycle more and reduce water use. Hydrogen fuel can not replace fossil fuels this is because fossil fuel use more energy and make more pollution.

For an individual to reduce his or her carbon footprint, they can:

  • Reduce the use of automobile
  • switch other renewable energy sources like solar energy

Hydrogen fuels are clean energy sources and should replace fossil fuels.

Carbon footprint should be regulated by law in order to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases.

<h3>What is a carbon footprint?</h3>

A carbon footprint is the measure of the total amount of greenhouse gases that are emitted into the atmosphere each year by an individual.

Greenhouse gases are responsible for global warming.

For an individual to reduce his or her carbon footprint, they can:

  • Reduce the use of automobile
  • switch other renewable energy sources like solar energy

Hydrogen fuels are able to replace fossil fuels as they are clean energy sources.

An individual's carbon footprint should be regulated by law in order to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases released.

In conclusion, greenhouse gases are responsible for global warming.

How much work is done when an engine generates 400 Watts of power in 25 seconds?
IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

10000 J or 10 KJ

Explanation:

power = workdone/time taken

400 = workdone/25

workdone = 400 * 25

=10000 J

What is the threshold frequency ν0 of cesium? note that 1 ev (electron volt)=1.60×10−19 j. express your answer numerically in he

The threshold frequency fo of Cesium is 4.83 × 10¹⁴ Hz

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

The term of package of electromagnetic wave radiation energy was first introduced by Max Planck. He termed it with photons with the magnitude is:

\large {\boxed {E = h \times f}}

<em>E = Energi of A Photon ( Joule )</em>

<em>h = Planck's Constant ( 6.63 × 10⁻³⁴ Js )</em>

<em>f = Frequency of Eletromagnetic Wave ( Hz )</em>

The photoelectric effect is an effect in which electrons are released from the metal surface when illuminated by electromagnetic waves with large enough of radiation energy.

\large {\boxed {E = \frac{1}{2}mv^2 + \Phi}}

\large {\boxed {E = qV + \Phi}}

<em>E = Energi of A Photon ( Joule )</em>

<em>m = Mass of an Electron ( kg )</em>

<em>v = Electron Release Speed ( m/s )</em>

<em>Ф = Work Function of Metal ( Joule )</em>

<em>q = Charge of an Electron ( Coulomb )</em>

<em>V = Stopping Potential ( Volt )</em>

Let us now tackle the problem!

<u>Given:</u>

Φ = 2.1 eV = 2 × 1.60 × 10⁻¹⁹ Joule = 3.20 × 10⁻¹⁹ Joule

<u>Unknown:</u>

fo = ?

<u>Solution:</u>

\Phi = h \times fo

3.20 \times 10^{-19} = 6.63 \times 10^{-34} \times fo

fo = ( 3.20 \times 10^{-19} ) \div ( 6.63 \times 10^{-34} )

\large {\boxed{fo = 4.83 \times 10^{14} ~ Hz} }

A generator makes electricity from _____ A. Chemical reactions B. Friction C. Kinetic energy D. Heat
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

The answer is C. Kinetic energy

Explanation:

Generators don't actually create electricity. Instead, they convert mechanical or chemical energy into electrical energy. They do this by capturing the power of motion and turning it into electrical energy by forcing electrons from the external source through an electrical circuit.

Why does metal feel cold
ikadub [295]

Answer:

Metal is cold because it is a good conductor. A conductor carries heat away from and object. Heat flows from your hand into the metal and then is conducted rapidly away into the bulk of the metal, leaving the metal surface and your skin surface relatively cool.

Explanation:

You are welcome.
