(Acetonitrile) contains 5 sigma bonds and 2 pi bonds. 4, 2 4, 3 2, 2 5, 2 4, 0.

Acetonitrile, CH₃₋C≡N contains 5 σ and 2 π bonds. There are three C-H σ bonds, one C-C σ  sigma bond and on C-N σ bond. And, there are two carbon-nitrogen π bonds.

Acetonitrile, often abbreviated Me CN, is the chemical compound with the formula CH ₃CN. This colorless liquid is the simplest organic nitrile. It is produced mainly as a byproduct of acrylonitrile manufacture.

It is used as a polar aprotic solvent in organic synthesis and in the purification of butadiene. Acetonitrile is used to make pharmaceuticals, perfumes, rubber products, pesticides, acrylic nail removers and batteries. It is also used to extract fatty acids from animal and vegetable oils.

when 46 grams of water are produced how many grams of oxygen must react according to the equation 2h2+o2=2h2o
natka813 [3]

the balanced equation for the formation of water is as follows

2H₂ + O₂ ---> 2H₂O

molar ratio of oxygen to water is 1:2

mass of water produced is - 46 g

therefore the number of moles of water produced - 46 g / 18 g/mol = 2.56 mol

1 mol of oxygen reacts to give 2 mol of water assuming oxygen is the limiting reactant

for 2 mol of water to be produced 1 mol of oxygen has to react

therefore for 2.56 mol of water to be produced - 1/2 x 2.56 mol = 1.28 mol of oxygen should react

mass of oxygen reacted is - 1.28 mol x 32 g/mol = 41.0 g

mass of oxygen that should react is 41 g

Excess HCl is added to 234 g of Na2S solution as shown by the equation below:
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

67 L

Explanation:

Step 1: Write the balanced equation

Na₂S(aq) + 2 HCl(aq) → 2 NaCl(aq) + H₂S(g)

Step 2: Calculate the moles corresponding to 234 g of Na₂S

The molar mass of Na₂S is 78 g/mol.

234 g × 1 mol/78 g = 3.0 mol

Step 3: Calculate the moles of H₂S produced from 3.0 moles of Na₂S

The molar ratio of Na₂S to H₂S is 1:1. The moles of H₂S formed are 1/1 × 3.0 mol = 3.0 mol.

Step 4: Calculate the volume occupied by 3.0 moles of H₂S at STP

At STP, 1 mole of H₂S occupies 22.4 L.

3.0 L × 22.4 L/1 mol = 67 L
